RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING A MODIFICATION OF R-24-163, DATED FEBRUARY 27, 2024, TO REDUCE THE AWARD AMOUNT OF $50,181.00 TO $41,000.00 UNDER RFP-24-002 FOR SECURE ALERT, D/B/TRACK GROUP TO PROVIDE GPS ELECTRONIC MONITORING BRACELETS AND SERVICES FOR THE PASSAIC COUNTY HUMAN SERVICES DEPARTMENT FOR THE TERM OF JANUARY 1, 2024, TO DECEMBER 31, 2025.

WHEREAS, the County of Passaic (hereafter “County”) is a government body incorporated pursuant to N.J.S.A. 40:18-1, et seq. and vested with all rights contained therein; and
WHEREAS, pursuant to N.J.S.A. 40:20-1 the Board of County Commissioners for the County of Passaic (hereafter “Board”) are vested with managing the property, finances, and affairs of the County; and
WHEREAS, the Director of the Department of Human Services is requesting modification of R-24-163, dated February 27, 2024, to reduce the award amount of fifty thousand one hundred eighty one ($50,181.00) dollars to forty one thousand and 00/100 ($41,000.00) dollars under RFP-24-002 for Secure Alert, D/B/A - Track Group to provide GPS Electronic Monitoring Bracelets and Services for the Passaic County Human Services Department for the term of January 1, 2024 to December 31, 2025; and
WHEREAS, this modification is due to a reduction in the anticipated level of service; and
WHEREAS, this matter was discussed at the March 5, 2024, meeting of the Health and Human Services Committee and is being recommended to the Board for approval; and
NOW, THEREFORE, LET IT BE RESOLVED, the Board of County Commissioners of the County of Passaic authorizes a decrease in the appropriation to Secure Alert D/B/A Track Group from the amount of fifty thousand one hundred eighty one and 00/100 ($50,181.00) dollars to forty one thousand and 00/100 ($41,000.00) dollars to provide GPS Electronic Monitoring Bracelets and Services for the Passaic County Human Services Department for the term January 1, 2024 to December 31, 2025; and
LET IT BE FURTHER RESOLVED, that the Clerk to the Board, County Counsel, and the Director of the Board are authorized to take any other steps necessary to carry out the purpose of this Resolution.
