RESOLUTION TO AMEND R22-1009, DATED NOVEMBER 22, 2022, TO INCREASE THE AWARD ACCEPTANCE FROM THE STATE OF NEW JERSEY, DEPARTMENT OF HUMAN SERVICES, DIVISION OF MENTAL HEALTH AND ADDICTION SERVICES.

WHEREAS, the County of Passaic (hereafter “County”) is a government body incorporated pursuant to N.J.S.A. 40:18-1, et seq. and vested with all rights contained therein; and
WHEREAS, pursuant to N.J.S.A. 40:20-1 the Board of County Commissioners for the County of Passaic (hereafter “Board”) are vested with decision making powers on behalf of the County; and
WHEREAS, the Department of Human Services (hereafter “Department”) is an umbrella social service agency concerned with planning and funding services for disadvantaged and homeless citizens; and
WHEREAS, the Director of the Department requests a resolution authorizing the Department to amend R22-1009, dated November 22, 2022, to increase the award from the State of New Jersey, Department of Human Services, Division of Mental Health and Addiction Services.
WHEREAS, the original award acceptance was one hundred sixty seven thousand six hundred twenty seven and 00/100 ($167,627.00) dollars; and
WHEREAS, the increase is thirty three thousand five hundred twenty five and 00/100 ($33,525.00) dollars.
WHEREAS, the new award acceptance amount is two hundred one thousand one hundred fifty two and 00/100 ($201,152.00) dollars, as detailed in the attached amended award letter; and
WHEREAS, there is no dollar match to accept this grant award; and
WHEREAS, this matter was discussed for the April 16, 2022 meeting of Health and Human Services Committee and is being recommended to the Board for approval;
NOW, THEREFORE, LET IT BE RESOLVED, that, pursuant to N.J.S.A. 40:20-1 et seq. the Board of County Commissioners of the County of Passaic hereby authorizes the amendment to R22-1009, dated November 22, 2022, to increase the award from the State of New Jersey, Department of Human Services, Division of Mental Health and Addiction Services and the new award acceptance amount is two hundred one thousand one hundred fifty two and 00/100 ($201,152.00) dollars,
LET IT BE FURTHER RESOLVED, that the Clerk to the Board, County Counsel, and Director of the Board of County Commissioners of the County of Passaic are authorized to take any other steps necessary to carry out the purpose of this resolution.
