RESOLUTION APPOINTING JOAN TABOR TO THE PASSAIC COUNTY SENIOR ADVISORY COUNCIL FOR A THREE (3) YEAR TERM, COMMENCING MAY 1, 2024 AND EXPIRING APRIL 30, 2027, PURSUANT TO N.J.S.A. 40:20-1

WHEREAS, the County of Passaic (“County”) is a body politic and corporate pursuant to N.J.S.A. 40:18-1 and vested with all rights contained therein; and
WHEREAS, pursuant to N.J.S.A. 40:20-1, the Board of County Commissioners of the County of Passaic (“Board”) is vested with managing the property, finances, and affairs of the County; and
WHEREAS, the Board created and is responsible for making appointments to the Passaic County Senior Advisory Council, which advises on ways to improve the quality of life for seniors in the County and appropriates aging related grants; and
WHEREAS, on February 25, 2020, the Board passed Resolution No. R20200169, appointing Colleen Helena Murray of Clifton to the Senior Advisory Council for a term, commencing March 1, 2020 and expiring February 28, 2022; and
WHEREAS, Ms. Murray is no longer able to serve on the Senior Advisory Council; and
WHEREAS, the Director of Senior Services is recommending to appoint Joan Tabor to the Senior Advisory Council for a three (3) year term, beginning May 1, 2024 and expiring April 30, 2027; and
WHEREAS, this matter was discussed at the April 10, 2024 Administration and Finance Committee meeting, and is being recommended to the Board for approval; and
NOW, THEREFORE, LET IT BE FURTHER RESOLVED, pursuant to N.J.S.A. 40:20-1, the Board of County Commissioners of the County of Passaic appoints Joan Tabor to the Passaic County Senior Advisory Council for a three (3) year term, commencing May 1, 2024 and expiring April 30, 2027.
LET IT BE FURTHER RESOLVED, that the Clerk of the Board, County Counsel, County Administrator, Director of Senior Services, and Director of the Board are authorized to take any action necessary to carry out the purpose of this Resolution.
