RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE PASSAIC COUNTY PURCHASING AGENT TO ADVERTISE AND RECEIVE BIDS FOR ON-LINE TEE TIME BOOKING ENGINE FOR USE BY THE PREAKNESS VALLEY GOLF COURSE, PURSUANT TO N.J.S.A 40A: 11-23, ET SEQ.

WHEREAS, the County of Passaic (hereafter “County”) is a government body incorporated pursuant to N.J.S.A. 40:18-1, et seq. and vested with all rights contained therein; and
WHEREAS, pursuant to N.J.S.A. 40:20-1 the Board of County Commissioners for the County of Passaic (hereafter “Board”) is vested with decision-making powers on behalf of the County; and
WHEREAS, the County desires to provide an on-line tee time booking engine for use by the Preakness Valley Golf Course; and
WHEREAS, the Passaic County Department of Parks & Recreation is recommending that the Board authorize the Purchasing Agent to advertise and receive bids to provide an on-line tee time booking engine for use by the Preakness Valley Golf Course; and
WHEREAS, pursuant to N.J.S.A. 40A:11-23, et seq. the County shall publish the advertisement for bids in advance of the date fixed for receiving the bids to promote competitive bidding; and
WHEREAS, this matter was discussed at the May 8, 2024, meeting of the Public Works Committee and is being recommended to the Board for approval.
NOW, THEREFORE, LET IT BE RESOLVED, pursuant to N.J.S.A. 40A:11-23, et seq., that the Passaic County Board of Commissioners hereby authorizes the Passaic County Purchasing Agent to advertise and receive bids for on-line tee time booking engine for use by the Preakness Valley Golf Course.
LET IT FURTHER BE RESOLVED, that the Purchasing Agent shall publish the advertisement for the bids in advance of the date fixed for receiving bids to promote competitive bidding, in compliance with N.J.S.A. 40A:11-23 et seq.
LET IT BE FURTHER RESOLVED, that the Clerk of the Board, County Counsel, County Engineer, and Purchasing Agent are authorized to take any action necessary to carry out the purpose of this Resolution.
