RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING AN AWARD OF CONTRACT TO INTEGRATED POWER SERVICES, LLC T/A PRECISION ELECTRIC MOTOR WORKS, INC., FOR THE SUPPLY AND INSTALLATION OF PUMPS AND MOTORS AT PREAKNESS HEALTHCARE CENTER THROUGH THE NORTH JERSEY WASTEWATER COOPERATIVE, PURSUANT TO N.J.S.A. 40A:11-10

WHEREAS, the County of Passaic (hereafter “County”) is a government body incorporated pursuant to N.J.S.A. 40:18-1, et seq. and vested with all rights contained therein; and
WHEREAS, pursuant to N.J.S.A. 40:20-1 the Passaic Board of County Commissioners (hereafter “Board”) is vested with decision-making powers on behalf of the County; and
WHEREAS, pursuant to N.J.S.A. 40A:11-10, the governing bodies of two or more contracting units may provide by a joint agreement for the provision of the performance of goods and services to be used by their respective jurisdictions; and
WHEREAS, by virtue of Resolution R20200852, the County entered into the North Jersey Wastewater Cooperative Pricing System, which awarded a contract for Various Manufacturer Pumps and Motors Repair and Replacement and Installation, Contract #B369-14 to multiple vendors, including Integrated Power Services, LLC T/A Precision Electric Motor Works, Inc., for a one-year period; and
WHEREAS, the Superintendent of Buildings and Grounds is recommending that the Board authorize an award of contract to Integrated Power Services, LLC T/A Precision Electric Motor Works, Inc., to supply and install various pumps and motors for the County under Contract #B369-14 through the North Jersey Wastewater Cooperative Pricing System, in an amount not to exceed one hundred four thousand, two hundred ninety-four dollars ($104,294.00), which will include the following services; and
• Emergency after-hours service to replace the main valve.
• Excavation from the brick wall to the sidewalk, removal of the main valve, and installation of a new gate valve 6”.
• New duck title pipe, replacement of non-operative 4” stemless OS&Y valve, remove and install A Aimes 4000SS RPZ, a clear tree from Trench, pipes, and gas lines.
• Motor/pump to be removed from site for emergency repair/replacement.
• Furnish replacement Brell and Gosset Pump.
• Repair and deliver remove pump as a critical spare.
WHEREAS, funds are available in Account No.C-04-55-148-001-901, C-04-55-166-002-901, or any other account that may be deemed appropriate by the Chief Financial Officer or his designee, and the availability of funds has been contingently certified by the Chief Financial Officer subject to sufficient funds being appropriated by the Board in the 2024 and/or subsequent years’ County budget (s), which is attached to and made part of this Resolution; and
WHEREAS, this matter was discussed at the May 8, 2024 meeting of the Public Works Committee and is being recommended to the Board for approval.
NOW, THEREFORE, LET IT BE RESOLVED, pursuant to N.J.S.A. 40A:11-10, that the Board of County Commissioners of the County of Passaic authorizes the award of contract to Integrated Power Services, LLC T/A Precision Electric Motor Works, Inc., to supply and install various pumps and motors for the County under Contract #B369-14 through the North Jersey Wastewater Cooperative Pricing System, in an amount not to exceed one hundred four thousand two hundred ninety-four dollars ($104,294.00) for a one-year period.
LET IT BE FURTHER RESOLVED, that the Clerk of the Board, County Counsel, and Director of the Board are authorized to execute the contracts and take any other steps necessary to carry out the purpose of this resolution.
