RESOLUTION ACCEPTING A GRANT AWARD FROM THE NEW JERSEY DEPARTMENT OF HEALTH IN THE AMOUNT $15,213.00 TO CONTINUE RIGHT TO KNOW PROGRAM.

WHEREAS, the County of Passaic (hereafter “County”) is a government body incorporated pursuant to N.J.S.A. 40:18-1, et seq. and vested with all rights contained therein; and
WHEREAS, pursuant to N.J.S.A. 40:20-1 the Board of County Commissioners for the County of Passaic (hereafter “Board”) are vested with managing the property, finances, and affairs of the County; and
WHEREAS, the Passaic County Department of Health (hereafter “Department”) is desirous to accept a grant award from the New Jersey Department of Health in the amount of fifteen thousand two hundred thirteen and 00/100 ($15,213.00) dollars dispersed quarterly in the amount of three thousand eight hundred dollars and 25/100 ($3,803.25) cents beginning July 1, 2024 to continue the implementation of the Right to Know Program; and
WHEREAS, this matter was discussed at the May 7, 2024, meeting of the Health and Human Services Committee and is being recommended to the Board for approval; and
NOW THEREFORE, LET IT BE RESOLVED, pursuant to N.J.S.A. 40:20-1, the Board of County Commissioners of the County of Passaic hereby authorizes the Department of Health to accept a grant award from the New Jersey Department of Health in the amount of fifteen thousand two hundred thirteen and 00/100 (15,213.00) dollars dispersed quarterly in the amount of three thousand eight hundred dollars and 25/100 ($3,803.25) cents beginning July 1, 2024 to continue the implementation of the Right to Know Program; and
LET IT BE FURTHER RESOLVED, that the County Administrator, County Counsel, Clerk to the Board, and the Director of Human Services for the County of Passaic are authorized to take all necessary action to carry out the purpose of this Resolution.
