RESOLUTION TO AMEND EXISTING RESOLUTION #R-23-0220, DATED MARCH 14, 2023, TO EXTEND AND ACCEPT THE TERM OF GRANT FROM AUGUST 1, 2023 - JULY 31, 2024 TO AUGUST 1, 2023 - APRIL 30, 2025.

WHEREAS, the County of Passaic (the “County”) is a government body incorporated pursuant to N.J.S.A. 40:18-1, et seq. and vested with all rights contained therein; and
WHEREAS, pursuant to N.J.S.A. 40:20-1 the Board of County Commissioners for the County of Passaic (hereinafter the “Board”) are vested with decision making powers on behalf of the County; and
WHEREAS, the Department of Human Services (hereafter “Department”) is an umbrella social service agency concerned with planning and funding services for disadvantaged and homeless citizens; and
WHEREAS, the Director of the Department is requesting to amend Resolution No. R-23-0220, dated March 14, 2023, to extend and accept the term of grant from August 1, 2023 - July 31, 2024 to August 1, 2023 - April 30, 2025; and
WHEREAS, there is no charge to the award amount; and
WHEREAS, this matter was discussed at the May 7, 2024, meeting of the Health and Human Services Committee and is being recommended to the Board for approval; and
NOW, THEREFORE, LET IT BE RESOLVED, pursuant to N.J.S.A. 40:20-1 et seq., the Board of County Commissioners of the County of Passaic hereby authorizes an amendment to Resolution No. R-23-0220, dated March 14, 2024, to extend and accept the term of grant from August 1, 2023 - July 31, 2024, to August 1, 2023 - April 30, 2025; and
LET IT BE FURTHER RESOLVED, that the Director of the Board of County Commissioners for the County of Passaic, the Clerk to the Board, and County Counsel are authorized to take the necessary actions to apply for the grant authorized on behalf of the County of Passaic.
