RESOLUTION AMENDING RESOLUTION NO. R-24-431 TO CHANGE PASSAIC COUNTY OFFICE OF EMERGENCY MANAGEMENT TO PASSAIC COUNTY ROADS DEPARTMENT

WHEREAS, the County of Passaic (hereafter “County”) is a body politic and corporate pursuant to N.J.S.A. 40:18-1 and vested with all rights contained therein; and
WHEREAS, pursuant to N.J.S.A. 40:20-1 the Board of County Commissioners of the County of Passaic (hereafter “Board”) is vested with managing the property, finances, and affairs of the County; and
WHEREAS, pursuant to N.J.S.A. 40:32-7.12, the Board may by resolution, make, alter, amend, and repeal rules and regulations for the supervision, regulation, and control of all activities carried on, conducted, sponsored, arranged, or provided for in connection with the Passaic County Park System, and may prescribe and enforce fines and penalties for the violation of any such rule or regulation; and
WHEREAS, on December 13, 2022, the Board approved Resolution R-24-431 authorizing an award of contract to Gabrielli Truck Sales of New Jersey, Inc., for the purchase of two (2) 2024 Volvo Tandem Axle Cab and Chassis for the Passaic County Office of Emergency Management in an amount not to exceed three hundred eighty-six thousand two hundred seventeen dollars and sixty-eight cents ($386,217.68); and
WHEREAS, the Supervisor of Roads is recommending an amendment to Resolution R-24-431 to amend the language in the title to read: “Passaic County Roads Department,” instead of “Passaic County Office of Emergency Management”; and
NOW, THEREFORE, LET IT BE RESOLVED, pursuant to N.J.S.A. 40:32-7.12 that the Board of County Commissioners of the County of Passaic authorizes the amendment of Resolution R-24-431 to read “Passaic County Roads Department,” instead of “Passaic County Office of Emergency Management”;
LET IT BE FURTHER RESOLVED, that all other terms and conditions as set forth in Resolution No. R-22-1159 remain in full force and effect.
LET IT BE FURTHER RESOLVED, that the Clerk of the Board, County Counsel, Director of the Board of County Commissioners, and Purchasing Agent are authorized to take any other action necessary to carry out the purpose of this Resolution.
