RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING AN AWARD OF CONTRACT TO JACK DOHENY COMPANIES, INC., C/O JACK DOHENY COMPANY FOR THE PURCHASE OF ONE VX-VCAM6-D34-2, 200ft. VIVAX CAMERA SYSTEM FOR THE PASSAIC COUNTY ROAD DEPARTMENT, PURSUANT TO N.J.S.A. 40A:11-6.1(a)

WHEREAS, the County of Passaic (the “County”) is a government body incorporated pursuant to N.J.S.A. 40:18-1, et seq. and vested with all rights contained therein; and
WHEREAS, pursuant to N.J.S.A. 40:20-1 the Board of County Commissioners for the County of Passaic (hereinafter the “Board”) are vested with decision-making powers on behalf of the County; and
WHEREAS, pursuant to N.J.S.A. 40A:11-6.1(a), the Department solicited quotes from vendors selling light fixtures; and
WHEREAS, pursuant to N.J.S.A. 40A:11-6.1(a), the Division has identified Billows Electric Supply, as the vendor most advantageous to the County for performing this role; and
WHEREAS, the Supervisor of Roads is recommending an award to Jack Doheny Companies, Inc., c/o Jack Doheny Company to purchase one VX-VCam6-D34-2, 200ft. Vivax Locator Camera System, in an amount not to exceed eleven thousand six hundred forty-nine dollars and twelve cents ($11,649.12) in accordance with the quote from Billows Electric Supply, attached hereto and included herewith; and
WHEREAS, funds are available in Account No. 4-01-26-151-001-223, or any other account that may be deemed appropriate by the Chief Financial Officer or his designee, and the availability of funds has been contingently certified by the Chief Financial Officer subject to sufficient funds being appropriated by the Board in the 2024 and/or subsequent years’ County budget(s), which is attached to and made part of this Resolution; and
WHEREAS, this matter was discussed at the May 29, 2024 meeting of the Public Works Committee and is being recommended to the Board for approval; and
NOW, THEREFORE, LET IT BE RESOLVED, pursuant to N.J.S.A. 40A:11-6.1(a), the Board of County Commissioners of the County of Passaic authorizes an award of contract to Jack Doheny Companies, Inc., c/o Jack Doheny Company to purchase one VX-VCam6-D34-2, 200ft., Vivax Locator Camera System, in an amount not to exceed eleven thousand six hundred forty-nine dollars and twelve cents ($11,649.12).
LET IT BE FURTHER RESOLVED, that the Clerk to the Board, County Counsel, Supervisor of Roads, and the Director of the Board are authorized to take any other steps necessary to carry out the purpose of this resolution.
