RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING AN AWARD OF CONTRACT TO FRANK’S TRUCK CENTER FOR THE PURCHASE OF TWO (2) 2024 GMC ACADIA AWD ELEVATION 4SD PACKAGE MODEL TLD56 FOR THE PASSAIC COUNTY DEPARTMENT OF SENIOR SERVICES PURSUANT TO N.J.S.A. 40A:11-10

WHEREAS, the County of Passaic (the “County”) is a government body incorporated pursuant to N.J.S.A. 40:18-1, et seq.; and
WHEREAS, pursuant to N.J.S.A. 40:20-1, the Passaic Board of County Commissioners (the “Board”) is vested with the powers to make all decisions on behalf of the County; and
WHEREAS, pursuant to N.J.S.A. 40A:11-10, the governing bodies of two or more contracting units may provide by a joint agreement for the provision of the performance of goods and services to be used by their respective jurisdictions; and
WHEREAS, the County is a member of the Educational Service Commission of New Jersey Cooperative Contract Purchasing System 65MCESCCPS (“65MCESCCPS”), a joint cooperative pricing system, offering competitive pricing for various goods and services established pursuant to N.J.S.A. 40A:11-10, et seq.; and
WHEREAS, in compliance with the law, 65MCESCCPS issued and awarded a contract to Frank’s Truck Center for Cars, Crossovers, Class 1-3 Pickup trucks/Chassis, SUVs, and Vans, under contract ESCNJ 23/24-11 (“ESCNJ #23/24-11”) for a bid term beginning on December 15, 2023, and expiring on December 14, 2025; and
WHEREAS, the Supervisor of Roads is recommending that the Board authorize an award of contract to Frank’s Truck Center to purchase two (2) 2024 GMC Acadia AWD Elevation 4SD Package Model TLD56 in the amount of eighty-nine thousand ninety-four dollars and seventy-four cents ($89,094.74); and
WHEREAS, funds are available in Account Nos. 4-01-55-020-000-601 and G-01-41-802-024-213, or any other account that may be deemed appropriate by the Chief Financial Officer or his designee, and the availability of funds has been contingently certified by the Chief Financial Officer subject to sufficient funds being appropriated by the Board in the 2024 and/or subsequent years’ County budget (s), which is attached to and made part of this Resolution; and
WHEREAS, this matter was discussed at the May 29, 2024, Public Works Committee meeting and is being recommended to the Board for approval.
NOW, THEREFORE, LET IT BE RESOLVED, pursuant to N.J.S.A. 40A:11-4, that the Board of County Commissioners of the County of Passaic authorizes the award of contract to Frank’s Truck Center to purchase two (2) 2024 GMC Acadia AWD Elevation 4SD Package Model TLD56 under ESCNJ #23/24-11 through the Educational Service Commission of New Jersey Cooperative in the amount of eighty-nine thousand ninety-four dollars and seventy-four cents ($89,094.74).
LET IT BE FURTHER RESOLVED, that the Clerk of the Board, County Counsel, and Director of the Board are authorized to execute the contracts and take any other steps necessary to carry out the purpose of this resolution.
