RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING AN INCREASE IN APPROPRIATION AWARD TO TELEVERE SYSTEMS LLC FOR ADDITIONAL ITEM(S) RELATED TO THE PURCHASE OF A RAPID RESPONSE VEHICLE RETROFIT W/ SENTINEL 300 AIR AND SURFACE SANITIZING SYSTEMS FOR THE PASSAIC COUNTY SHERIFF’S OFFICE, PURSUANT TO N.J.S.A. 40A:11-1 ET SEQ.

WHEREAS, the County of Passaic (hereafter “County”) is a body politic and corporate pursuant to N.J.S.A. 40:18-1 and vested with all rights contained therein; and
WHEREAS, pursuant to N.J.S.A. 40:20-1 the Board of County Commissioners of the County of Passaic (hereafter “Board”) is vested with managing the property, finances, and affairs of the County; and
WHEREAS, on June 28, 2022, the Board authorized the Passaic County Sheriff’s Office (“PCSO”) by resolution R-22-0609, to purchase Rapid Response Vehicle Retrofit w/ Sentinel 300 Air and Surface Sanitizing Systems from Televere Systems LLC, under State Contract #17-Fleet-00736, in an amount not to exceed two hundred thirteen thousand five hundred dollars ($213,500.00); and
WHEREAS, the PCSO desires to amend resolution R-22-0609 to increase the contract award to Televere Systems LLC, under State Contract #17-Fleet-00736, in the amount of three thousand, four hundred eighty-seven dollars, forty-six cents ($3,487.46) to purchase additional items(s) related to the Rapid Response Vehicle Retrofit w/ Sentinel 300 Air and Surface Sanitizing Systems, for a total contract award not to exceed two hundred sixteen thousand nine hundred eighty-seven dollars and forty-six cents ($216,987.46); and
WHEREAS, said goods and services are being procured through New Jersey State Cooperative Purchasing Agreements in which the County of Passaic is a member, as permitted by N.J.S.A. 40A:11-12; and
WHEREAS, this matter was discussed by the Law and Public Safety Committee and is being recommended to the Board for approval; and
WHEREAS, the Board is desirous of approving said purchase(s) in accordance with the terms of the applicable contract(s) and authorizing the Purchasing Agent to issue the appropriate Purchase Order(s); and
WHEREAS, funds are available in account C-3-01-25-157-001-249 or any other account that may be deemed appropriate by the Chief Financial Officer or his designee, and the availability of funds has been contingently certified by the Chief Financial Officer subject to sufficient funds being appropriated by the Board in the 2024 and/or subsequent years’ County budget(s), which is attached to and made part of this Resolution; and
NOW, THEREFORE, LET IT BE RESOLVED, pursuant to pursuant N.J.S.A. 40A:11-1, et seq, that the Board of County Commissioner of the County of Passaic authorizes the amendment to resolution R-22-0609 for the purchase of additional item(s) related to Rapid Response Vehicle Retrofit w/ Sentinel 300 Air and Surface Sanitizing Systems, in the increased amount of three thousand four hundred eighty-seven dollars and forty-six cents ($3,487.46), in accordance with the terms of the applicable state contract.
LET IT BE FURTHER RESOLVED, that the Purchasing Agent, Sheriff, Clerk to the Board, and County Counsel hereby are authorized and directed to take such further actions and sign such documents as are necessary to effectuate the purpose of this resolution, including but not limited to the issuance of appropriate Purchase Order(s).
