RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING NO COST TIME EXTENSION TO NEW DESTINY FAMILY SUCCESS CENTER FOR RESTORATIVE AND TRANSFORMATIVE JUSTICE FOR YOUTH AND COMMUNITIES PILOT PROGRAM PURSUANT TO N.J.S.A. 40A:11-4.1, ET SEQ.

WHEREAS, the County of Passaic (the “County”) is a government body incorporated pursuant to N.J.S.A. 40:18-1, et seq. and vested with all rights contained therein; and
WHEREAS, pursuant to N.J.S.A. 40:20-1 the Board of County Commissioners for the County of Passaic (hereinafter the “Board”) are vested with decision-making powers on behalf of the County; and
WHEREAS, the Department of Human Services (hereafter “Department”), Juvenile Division, provides programs to help provide services and support to juveniles in New Jersey; and
WHEREAS, pursuant to Resolution R-23-0400, the Board of Commissioners of the County of Passaic authorized a contract award to New Destiny Family Success Center for the Restorative and Transformative Justice for Youth and Communities Pilot Program Grant in the amount of one million six hundred forty two thousand and 00/100 ($1.642,000.00) dollars for a term commencing immediately through October 31, 2024 with two (2) one (1) year options to renew; and
WHEREAS, the Director of the Department is requesting a resolution authorizing a no cost time extension to New Destiny Family Success Center to change the end date of the Program to June 30, 2025; and
WHEREAS, pursuant to N.J.S.A. 52:32-60-1, et seq., vendor executed the Non-Involvement in Prohibited Activities in Russia or Belarus Certification, attached hereto and made part of this Resolution, certifying the vendor is not involved in prohibited activities in Russia and Belarus, and the County confirmed vendor is not identified on the Specially Designated Nationals and Blocked Persons list created by the Office of Foreign Assets Control; and
WHEREAS, this matter was discussed at the June 4, 2024, meeting of the Health and Human Services Committee and is being recommended to the Board for approval; and
NOW, THEREFORE, LET IT BE RESOLVED, the Board of County Commissioners of the County of Passaic (hereafter “Board”) hereby authorizes a no cost time extension to New Destiny Family Success Center to change end date of this program to June 30, 2025; and
LET IT BE FURTHER RESOLVED, that the Clerk to the Board, Director of the Board, and County Counsel are authorized to take any other steps necessary to carry out the purpose of this Resolution.
