RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE DEPARTMENT OF SENIOR SERVICES TO HOST A CHRISTMAS IN JULY EVENT ON JULY 26, 2024.

WHEREAS, the County of Passaic (hereinafter the “County”) is a government body incorporated pursuant to N.J.S.A. 40:18-1 et.seq., and vested with the rights contained therein; and
WHEREAS, pursuant to N.J.S.A. 40:20-1, et.seq., the Board of County Commissioners for the County of Passaic (hereinafter the “Board”) are vested with the decision-making powers on behalf of the County; and
WHEREAS, the County, through its Senior Services Department (hereafter “Department”), provides assistance with senior benefit programs, including home and community services to senior citizens throughout Passaic County; and
WHEREAS, the Director of the Department is requesting permission to host a Christmas in July Event at the property located at 930 Riverview Drive, Totowa, New Jersey 07512 on July 26, 2024; and
WHEREAS, this event will provide recreational activities for Passaic County Seniors as well as socialization from 12:00PM to 2:00PM to be operated by the County Department of Senior Services; and
WHEREAS, this matter was discussed at the June 4, 2024, meeting of the Health and Human Services Committee and is being recommended to the Board for approval; and
NOW, THEREFORE, LET IT BE RESOLVED, the Board of County Commissioners of Passaic (hereafter “Board”) authorizes the Department of Senior Services to host a Christmas in July Event located at 930 Riverview Drive, Totowa, New Jersey, 07512 on July 26, 2024, providing recreational activities for the Passaic County Seniors as well as socialization from 12:00PM to 2:00PM to be operated by the County Department of Senior Services.
