RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING AN AWARD OF CONTRACT TO UNIFIED TECHNOLOGY PARTNERS FOR THE PURCHASE OF A MULTI-SENSOR CAMERA AND PTZ CAMERA AT THE PASSAIC COUNTY OFFICE OF EMERGENCY MANAGEMENT, PURSUANT TO N.J.S.A. 40A:11-10.

WHEREAS, the County of Passaic (the “County”) is a government body incorporated pursuant to N.J.S.A. 40:18-1, et seq. and vested with all rights contained therein; and
WHEREAS, pursuant to N.J.S.A. 40:20-1 the Board of County Commissioners for the County of Passaic (hereinafter the “Board”) are vested with decision-making powers on behalf of the County; and
WHEREAS, the Office of Emergency Management is seeking a contractor to screen, load, and recycle street sweepings collected on County roads; and
WHEREAS, pursuant to N.J.S.A. 40A:11-10, the governing bodies of two or more contracting units may provide by a joint agreement for the provision of the performance of goods and services to be used by their respective jurisdictions; and
WHEREAS, the County is a member of the Somerset County Cooperative Pricing System, #2SOCCP, which awarded a contract for Open End, Projects as Needed, Two Year Contract Data Cable Installation & Related Services #CC-0056-23 to United Technology Partners to provide such goods and services; and
WHEREAS, Unified Technology Partners provided a quote to the Office of Emergency Management, for the purchase of a multi-sensor camera and PTZ camera in an amount not to exceed eight thousand six hundred eighty dollars ($8,680.00) attached to and made part of this resolution; and
WHEREAS, funds are available in Account No. 4-01-20-110-001-219, or any other account that may be deemed appropriate by the Chief Financial Officer or his designee, and the availability of funds has been contingently certified by the Chief Financial Officer subject to sufficient funds being appropriated by the Board in 2024 and/or subsequent years’ County budget(s), which is attached to and made part of this Resolution; and
WHEREAS, this matter was discussed by the Law and Public Safety Committee meeting and is being recommended to the Board for approval.
NOW, THEREFORE, LET IT BE RESOLVED, pursuant to N.J.S.A. 40A:11-10, the Board of County Commissioners of the County of Passaic is authorizing an award of contract to Unified Technology Partners for the purchase of a multi-sensor camera and PTZ camera in an amount not to exceed eight thousand six hundred eighty dollars ($8,680.00).
LET IT BE FURTHER RESOLVED, that the Director of the Board of County Commissioners, the Clerk to the Board, the County Counsel, and the Purchasing Agent are authorized to execute an agreement and take any other steps necessary to carry out the purpose of this resolution.
