RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE PASSAIC COUNTY PURCHASING AGENT TO ADVERTISE AND RECEIVE BIDS FOR THE SCHUYLER-COLFAX SITE IMPROVEMENT & LANDSCAPING PROJECT IN THE TOWNSHIP OF WAYNE, FOR THE DIRECTOR OF THE DEPARTMENT OF CULTURAL & HISTORIC AFFAIRS, PURSUANT N.J.S.A 40A: 11-23, ET SEQ.

WHEREAS, the County of Passaic (hereafter “County”) is a government body incorporated pursuant to N.J.S.A. 40:18-1, et seq. and vested with all rights contained therein; and
WHEREAS, pursuant to N.J.S.A. 40:20-1 the Board of County Commissioners for the County of Passaic (hereafter “Board”) is vested with decision making powers on behalf of the County; and
WHEREAS, the Director of the Department of Cultural & Historic Affairs has determined that the Schuyler-Colfax House is in need of certain site improvements; and
WHEREAS, Clarke Caton Hintz has prepared specifications which conform to Passaic County and other engineering standards; and
WHEREAS, the Director of the Department of Cultural & Historic Affairs is recommending that the Board authorize the Purchasing Agent to advertise and receive bids for the Schuyler-Colfax Site Improvement & Landscaping Project in the Township of Wayne; and
WHEREAS, pursuant to N.J.S.A. 40A:11-23, et seq. the County shall publish the advertisement for bids in advance of the date fixed for receiving the bids to promote competitive bidding; and
WHEREAS, this matter was discussed at the June 12, 2024 meeting of the Public Works Committee and is being recommended to the Board for approval.
NOW, THEREFORE, LET IT BE RESOLVED, pursuant to N.J.S.A. 40A:11-23, et seq., that the Passaic County Board of Commissioners hereby authorizes the Passaic County Purchasing Agent to advertise and receive bids as recommended by the Director of the Department of Cultural & Historic Affairs for the Schuyler-Colfax Site Improvement & Landscaping Project in the Township of Wayne.
