RESOLUTION REAPPOINTING ELIZABETH PAPPAS PAGANO AND DR. LUCIA MCMAHON TO THE FRIENDS OF DEY MANSION, INC., BOARD OF TRUSTEES FOR A TWO (2) YEAR TERM, RETROACTIVE TO MARCH 1, 2024 AND EXPIRING FEBRUARY 28, 2026, PURSUANT TO N.J.S.A. 40:20-1

WHEREAS, the County of Passaic (“County”) is a body politic and corporate pursuant to N.J.S.A. 40:18-1 and vested with all rights contained therein; and
WHEREAS, pursuant to N.J.S.A. 40:20-1, the Board of County Commissioners of the County of Passaic (“Board”) is vested with managing the property, finances, and affairs of the County; and
WHEREAS, on February 28, 2017, the Board passed Resolution No. R20170147, creating the Friends of Dey Mansion, Inc., a non-profit organization responsible for securing private donations and grant funding for the Dey Mansion located in Wayne, New Jersey; and
WHEREAS, on January 26, 2021, the Board passed Resolution No. R20210042, appointing Dr. Lucia McMahon to the Friends of Dey Mansion, Inc., Board of Trustees for a three (3) year term, beginning March 1, 2021 and terminating March 1, 2024; and
WHEREAS, on February 22, 2022, the Board passed Resolution No. R-22-0116, appointing Elizabeth Pappas Pagano to the Friends of Dey Mansion, Inc., Board of Trustees for a two (2) year term, commencing March 1, 2022 and ending February 28, 2024; and
WHEREAS, the Passaic County Administrator is recommending to reappoint Elizabeth Pappas Pagano and Dr. Lucia McMahon to the Friends of Dey Mansion, Inc., Board of Trustees for a two (2) year term, retroactive to March 1, 2024 and expiring on February 28, 2026; and
WHEREAS, this matter was discussed at the July 3, 2024 Administration & Finance Committee meeting, and is being recommended to the Board for approval; and
NOW, THEREFORE, LET IT BE RESOLVED, pursuant to N.J.S.A. 40:20-1, the Board of County Commissioners of the County of Passaic reappoints Elizabeth Pappas Pagano and Dr. Lucia McMahon to the Friends of Dey Mansion, Inc., Board of Trustees for a two (2) year term, retroactive to March 1, 2024 and expiring on February 28, 2026.
LET IT BE FURTHER RESOLVED, that the Clerk of the Board, County Counsel, County Administrator, and Director of the Board are authorized to take any action necessary to carry out the purpose of this Resolution.
