RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING AN AMENDMENT OF GRANT FROM THE NEW JERSEY DEPARTMENT OF HEALTH, OFFICE OF LOCAL PUBLIC HEALTH, COUNTY HEALTH INFRASTRUCTURE FUNDING 2024 GRANT, PURSUANT TO N.J.S.A. 40:20-1 ET SEQ.

WHEREAS, the County of Passaic (hereafter “County”) is a government body incorporated pursuant to N.J.S.A. 40:18-1, et seq. and vested with all rights contained therein; and
WHEREAS, pursuant to N.J.S.A. 40:20-1 the Board of County Commissioners for the County of Passaic (hereafter the “Board”) are vested with decision making powers on behalf of the County; and
WHEREAS, the Department of Health Services (hereafter “Department”) is responsible for protecting and promoting the health of approximately 525,000 residents from 16 Municipalities in the County; and
WHEREAS, pursuant to Resolution R-24-505, dated June 11, 2024, the Board passed a resolution authorizing an amendment of grant from the New Jersey Department of Health, Office of Local Public Health, County of Health Infrastructure Funding 2024 Grant; and
WHEREAS, the purpose of this resolution is to correct a discrepancy in the prior resolution; and
WHEREAS, the Department is requesting to receive an additional amount of seven thousand two hundred fifty five and 00/100 ($7,255.00) dollars in connection with this grant for a total funding amount of two million two hundred ninety nine thousand five hundred twenty nine and 00/100 ($2,299.529.00) dollars; and
WHEREAS, the updated breakdown is as follows:
July 1, 2023 - June 30, 2026 (Total Funding $2,299,529.00)
Budget Period Year 1: $1,149,765.00
Budget Period Year 2: $ 574,882.00
Budget Period Year 3: $ 574,882.00
WHEREAS, this matter was discussed at the July 9, 2024 meeting of the Health and Human Services Committee and is being recommended to the Board for approval; and
NOW, THEREFORE, LET IT BE RESOLVED, pursuant to N.J.S.A. 40:20-1 et seq., the Board of County Commissioners of the County of Passaic (hereafter “Board”) hereby authorizes an amendment to R-24-505, dated June 11, 2024, to reflect an additional amount of grant funding, that being seven thousand two hundred fifty five and 00/100 ($7,255.00) dollars, for a total funding amount of two million two hundred ninety nine thousand five hundred twenty nine and 00/100 ($2,299,529.00) dollars; and
LET IT BE FURTHER RESOLVED, that the Director of the Board, the Clerk to the Board, County Counsel, and Director of Health Services are authorized to take the necessary actions to accept the grant application authorized on behalf of the County of Passaic.
