RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING AN AWARD OF CONTRACT TO SHI INTERNATIONAL CORP., TO PURCHASE SOFTWARE LICENSES AND EQUIPMENT FOR THE PASSAIC COUNTY PROSECUTOR’S OFFICE, PURSUANT TO N.J.S.A. 40A:11-10

WHEREAS, the County of Passaic (the “County”) is a government body incorporated pursuant to N.J.S.A. 40:18-1, et seq. and vested with all rights contained therein; and
WHEREAS, pursuant to N.J.S.A. 40:20-1 the Board of County Commissioners for the County of Passaic (hereinafter the “Board”) are vested with decision-making powers on behalf of the County; and
WHEREAS, pursuant to N.J.S.A. 40A:11-10, the governing bodies of two or more contracting units may provide by a joint agreement for the provision of the performance of goods and services to be used by their respective jurisdictions; and
WHEREAS, the County is a member of the Bergen County Cooperative Contract Purchasing System #11BCCPS (“#11BCCPS”) a joint cooperative pricing system, offering competitive pricing for various goods and services established pursuant to N.J.S.A. 40A:11-10, et seq.; and
WHEREAS, in compliance with the law, 11BCCPS issued and awarded a contract to SHI International, Corp., for Computer Equipment and Peripherals under contract #BC-BID-24-38 COOP: and
WHEREAS, the Passaic County Prosecutor’s Office (“PCPO”) is recommending that the Board authorize an award of contract to SHI International, Corp., to purchase one hundred forty Adobe Acrobat Pro Software licenses, and five Adobe Creative Cloud Software Licenses for the Prosecutor’s Office in an amount not to exceed twenty-seven thousand, seven hundred thirty-seven dollars and fifty cents ($27,737.50), in accordance with the quote provided by SHI International, Corp, which is attached hereto and made part of this Resolution; and
WHEREAS, funds are available in the Prosecutor’s Federal Treasury Forfeiture Account No. T-23-56-850-000-802 or any other account that may be deemed appropriate by the Chief Financial Officer or his designee, and the availability of funds has been contingently certified by the Chief Financial Officer subject to sufficient funds being appropriated by the Board in 2024 and/or subsequent years’ County budget(s), which is attached to and made part of this Resolution; and
WHEREAS, this matter was discussed at the July 9, 2024, meeting of the Public Works Committee and is being recommended to the Board for approval; and
NOW, THEREFORE, LET IT BE RESOLVED, pursuant to N.J.S.A. 40A:11-10, the Board of County Commissioners of the County of Passaic is authorizing an award of contract to SHI International, Inc. Corp., to purchase one hundred forty Adobe Acrobat Pro Software Licenses, and five Adobe Creative Cloud Software Licenses for the Prosecutor’s Office in an amount not to exceed twenty-seven thousand seven hundred thirty-seven dollars and fifty cents ($27,737.50), in accordance with the attached quote.
LET IT BE FURTHER RESOLVED, that the Clerk of the Board, County Counsel, and Director of the Board are authorized to execute the contracts and take any other steps necessary to carry out the purpose of this resolution.
