RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING AN AWARD OF CONTRACT TO GENTILINI MOTORS FOR THE PURCHASE OF ONE (1) WHITE CHEVROLET EQUINOX AWD 4DR LS, PURSUANT TO N.J.S.A. 40:11-12

WHEREAS, the County of Passaic (hereafter “County”) is a body politic and corporate pursuant to N.J.S.A. 40:18-1 and vested with all rights contained therein; and
WHEREAS, pursuant to N.J.S.A. 40:20-1 the Board of County Commissioners of the County of Passaic (hereafter “Board”) is vested with managing the property, finances, and affairs of the County; and
WHEREAS, pursuant to N.J.S.A. 40A:11-12, et seq. the County may without advertising for bids purchase goods or services under any contract or contracts for such goods or service entered into on behalf of the State by the Division of Purchase and Property in the Department of Treasury; and
WHEREAS, Gentilini Motors submitted a competitive price under State Contract 20-Fleet-01393 for Sport Utility Vehicles, Gasoline/Hybrid/Electric, to the State of New Jersey, Department of the Treasury, Division of Purchase and Property; and
WHEREAS, the Supervisor of Roads received a quote from Gentilini Motors to purchase one (1) 2024 White Chevrolet Equinox AWD 4dr LS in an amount not to exceed thirty-six thousand five hundred seventy-five dollars and fifty-five cents ($36,575.55), in accordance with the quote #EST9943, dated July 19, 2024, from Gentilini Motors, which is referenced by incorporation and made part of this Resolution; and
WHEREAS funds are available in Account No. 4-01-44-900-003-000 or any other account that may be deemed appropriate by the Chief Financial Officer or his designee, and the availability of funds has been contingently certified by the Chief Financial Officer subject to sufficient funds being appropriated by the Board in 2024 or subsequent years’ County budget (s), which is attached to and made part of this Resolution; and
WHEREAS, this matter was discussed on July 31, 2024, by the Public Works Committee, and is being recommended to the Board for approval; and
NOW, THEREFORE, LET IT BE RESOLVED, pursuant to N.J.S.A. 40A:11-4, et seq., the Board of County Commissioners of the County of Passaic hereby authorize an award of contract to Gentilini Motors, under Contract 20-Fleet-01393, for the purchase one (1) 2024 White Chevrolet Equinox AWD 4dr LS in an amount not to exceed thirty-six thousand five hundred seventy-five dollars and fifty-five cents ($36,575.55), in accordance with the quote #EST9943 from Gentilini Motors, dated July 19, 2024, which is referenced by incorporation and made part of this Resolution.
LET IT BE FURTHER RESOLVED, that the Clerk of the Board, County Counsel, and Director of the Board are authorized to take any other action necessary to carry out the purpose of this Resolution.
