RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE DIRECTOR OF CULTURAL AND HISTORIC AFFAIRS TO ACCEPT THE NJHC GENERAL OPERATING SUPPORT GRANT IN THE AMOUNT OF $41,400.00 FROM THE NEW JERSEY HISTORIC COMMISSION FOR DEY MANSION WASHINGTON’S HEADQUARTERS PURSUANT TO N.J.S.A. 40A:20-1, ET SEQ.

WHEREAS, the County of Passaic (hereafter “County”) is a government body incorporated pursuant to N.J.S.A. 40:18-1, et seq. and vested with all rights contained therein; and
WHEREAS, pursuant to N.J.S.A. 40:20-1 the Board of County Commissioners of the County of Passaic (hereafter “Board”) is vested with managing the property, finances, and affairs of the County; and
WHEREAS, the County received a NJHC General Operating Support Grant in the amount of forty-one thousand four hundred dollars ($41,400.00) from the New Jersey Historical Commission (hereafter “NJHC”) for the Dey Mansion Washington’s Headquarters; and
WHEREAS, the Director of Cultural & Historic Affairs is seeking authorization to accept the grant NJHC General Operating Support Grant from the NJHC; and
WHEREAS, this matter was discussed at the July 31, 2024, meeting of the Public Works Committee and is being recommended to the Board for approval.
NOW, THEREFORE, LET IT BE RESOLVED, pursuant to N.J.S.A. 40A:20-1 that the Passaic County Board of Commissioners authorizes the Director of Cultural and Historic Affairs to accept the NJHC General Operating Support Grant in the amount of forty-one thousand four hundred dollars ($41,400.00) from the New Jersey Historical Commission (hereafter “NJHC”) for the Dey Mansion Washington’s Headquarters.
LET IT BE FURTHER RESOLVED, that the Clerk to the Board, County Counsel, Director of Cultural & Historic Affairs, and the Director of the Board are authorized to take any other steps necessary to carry out the purpose of this resolution.
