RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE PASSAIC COUNTY ENGINEER TO APPLY FOR THE NEW JERSEY DEPARTMENT OF TRANSPORTATION LOCAL TRANSPORTATION PROJECTS FUND 2025, PURSUANT TO N.J.S.A. 40:20-1

WHEREAS, the County of Passaic (hereafter “County”) is a body politic and corporate pursuant to N.J.S.A. 40:18-1 and vested with all rights contained therein; and
WHEREAS, pursuant to N.J.S.A. 40:20-1 the Board of County Commissioners of the County of Passaic (hereafter “Board”) is vested with managing the property, finances, and affairs of the County; and
WHEREAS, the New Jersey Department of Transportation (hereafter “NJDOT”) has made available the Local Transportation Projects Fund 2025 grant program; and
WHEREAS, the Passaic County Engineer desires to apply for the Local Transportation Projects Fund 2025 grant from NJDOT, and if the County’s application is approved, such funds would be used for a Pavement Condition Assessment Project; and
WHEREAS, this matter was reviewed on August 28, 2024 by the Public Works Committee and is being recommended to the Board for approval.
NOW, THEREFORE, LET IT BE RESOLVED, pursuant to N.J.S.A. 40:20-1, that the Board of County Commissioners of the County of Passaic authorizes the Passaic County Engineer to apply for the Local Transportation Projects Fund 2025 Grant.
LET IT BE FURTHER RESOLVED, that the Clerk of the Board, Commissioner Director, County Counsel, and County Engineer, are authorized to execute any documents or grant agreements, or take any other steps necessary to carry out the purpose of this Resolution.
