RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE DONATION OF FOUR SMART BOARDS FROM THE PASSAIC COUNTY POLICE ACADEMY TO THE PATERSON FIRE DEPARTMENT PURSUANT TO N.J.S.A. 40A:11-36(2)

WHEREAS, the County of Passaic (“County”) is a body politic and corporate pursuant to N.J.S.A. 40:18-1 and vested with all rights contained therein; and
WHEREAS, pursuant to N.J.S.A. 40:20-1 the Board of County Commissioners of the County of Passaic (“Board”) is vested with managing the property, finances, and affairs of the County; and
WHEREAS, pursuant to N.J.S.A. 40A:11-36(2), a contracting unit need not advertise for bids when it makes any such sale to the United States, the State of New Jersey, another contracting unit, any body politic to which it contributes tax-raised funds, any foreign nation which has diplomatic relations with the United States or any governmental unit in the United States; and
WHEREAS, the Paterson Fire Department (“Department”) inquired into the availability of the County’s smart boards eligible for transfer to carry out the Department’s duties and functions in accordance with N.J.S.A. 40A:11-36(2); and
WHEREAS, the Passaic County Police Academy (“PCPA”) has identified four (4) Smart Boards with adjustable mounts for UX/UF Projector Systems that have come to the end of their usefulness and are available for said transfer with the following serial number; and

WHEREAS, the PCPA seeks approval from the Board to accomplish same; and
WHEREAS, this matter has been reviewed by the Law and Public Safety Committee and is being recommended to the Board for approval.
NOW, THEREFORE, LET IT BE RESOLVED, that the Board of County Commissioners of the County of Passaic hereby authorizes the Passaic County Police Academy to transfer four (4) Smart Boards with adjustable mounts for UX/UF Projector Systems referenced herein this Resolution that have come to the end of their usefulness to the County and are available for said transfer to the Paterson Fire Department, pursuant to N.J.S.A. 40A:11-36(2).
LET IT BE FURTHER RESOLVED, Director or his designee, Director of the Board of County Commissioners, County Administrator, County Counsel, Clerk of the Board, Chief Financial Officer, and any other employee for the County of Passaic may take any action necessary to effectuate the purpose of this Resolution.
