RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE DIRECTOR OF THE DEPARTMENT OF SENIOR SERVICES TO AMEND THE BY-LAWS OF THE PASSAIC COUNTY ADVISORY COUNCIL ON DISABILITY BY-LAWS, PURSUANT TO N.J.S.A. 40:20-1, ET SEQ.

WHEREAS, the County of Passaic (hereafter “County”) is a government body incorporated pursuant to N.J.S.A. 40:18-1, et seq. and vested with all rights contained therein; and
WHEREAS, pursuant to N.J.S.A. 40:20-1, the Board of County Commissioners for the County of Passaic (hereafter “Board”) are vested with decision-making powers on behalf of the County; and
WHEREAS, the County, through its Senior Services Department (hereafter “Department”), provides assistance with senior benefit programs, including home and community services to senior citizens throughout Passaic County; and
WHEREAS, the Director of the Department desires to amend the By-Laws of the Passaic County Advisory Council on Disability; and
WHEREAS, the matter was discussed at the September 17, 2024, meeting of the Health and Human Services Committee and is being recommended to the Board for approval; and
NOW THEREFORE, LET IT BE RESOLVED, pursuant to N.J.S.A. 40:20-1, et seq., the Board of County Commissioners of the County of Passaic is authorizing the Director of the Department of Senior Services to amend the By-Laws of the Passaic County Advisory Council on Disability; and
LET IT BE FURTHER RESOLVED, that the Director of the Board of County Commissioners, the Clerk to the Board, County Counsel, the Director of Department of Senior Services are authorized to execute an agreement and take any other steps necessary to carry out the purpose of this Resolution.
