RESOLUTION TO AUTHORIZE A GRANT APPLICATION TO THE NORTH JERSEY TRANSPORTATION PLANNING AUTHORITY LOCAL SAFETY PROGRAM.

WHEREAS, the County of Passaic (hereafter “County” is a government body incorporated pursuant to N.J.S.A. 40:18-1, et.seq., and vested with all rights contained therein; and
WHEREAS, pursuant to N.J.S.A. 40:20-1, the Board of County Commissioners for the County of Passaic (hereafter “Board”) is vested with decision-making powers on behalf of the County; and
WHEREAS, the Director of the Planning and Economic Development is requesting a resolution to authorize a grant application to the North Jersey Transportation Planning Authority Local Safety Programs; and
WHEREAS, this matter was discussed at the September 25, 2024, meeting of the Planning and Economic Development Committee and is being recommended to the Board of Commissioners for approval; and
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, the Board of County of Commissioners authorizes the Planning and Economic Development Department to submit a grant application to the North Jersey Transportation Planning Authority Local Safety Program for safety improvements to various county road intersections; and
