RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING REJECTION OF ALL RESPONSES RECEIVED FOR RFQ-24-080 UNDER N.J.S.A. 40A:11-13.2(e).

WHEREAS, the County of Passaic (hereafter “County”) is a government body incorporated pursuant to N.J.S.A. 40:18-1, et seq. and vested with all rights contained therein; and
WHEREAS, pursuant to N.J.S.A. 40:20-1 the Board of County Commissioners for the County of Passaic (hereafter “Board”) is vested with decision-making powers on behalf of the County; and
WHEREAS, the Department of Health Services (hereafter “Department”) is responsible for protecting and promoting the health of approximately 525,000 residents from 16 Municipalities in the County; and
WHEREAS, pursuant to N.J.S.A. 40A:11-5, et.seq., the Purchasing Agent issued RFQ-24-080 Consulting Servies for a Public Health Accreditation Coordinator for the Passaic County Department of Health Servies; and
WHEREAS, the Director /Health Officer is requesting a resolution authorizing the rejection of all responses received for RFQ-24-080 under N.J.S.A. 40A:11-13.2(e), because the correct method of procurement is through the competitive contracting process; and
WHEREAS, this matter was discussed at the October 1, 2024, meeting of the Health and Human Services Committee and is being recommended to the Board for approval; and
NOW, THEREFORE, LET IT BE RESOLVED, pursuant to N.J.S.A. 40A:11-13.2(e), the Board of County Commissioners of the County of Passaic hereby rejects all responses received for RFQ-24-080 for the reasons set forth above; and
LET IT BE FURTHER RESOLVED, that the Director of the Board, the Clerk to the Board, County Counsel, and Director/Health Officer and Purchasing Agent are authorized to take any and all steps necessary to carry out the purpose of this Resolution.
