RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE PASSAIC COUNTY PURCHASING AGENT TO ADVERTISE AND RECEIVE BIDS FOR THE REPLACEMENT OF EXTERIOR SEALANT FOR THE PASSAIC COUNTY COURTHOUSE AT 77 HAMILTON STREET IN THE CITY OF PATERSON, FOR THE PASSAIC COUNTY ENGINEER, PURSUANT N.J.S.A 40A: 11-23, ET SEQ.

WHEREAS, the County of Passaic (hereafter “County”) is a government body incorporated pursuant to N.J.S.A. 40:18-1, et seq. and vested with all rights contained therein; and
WHEREAS, pursuant to N.J.S.A. 40:20-1 the Board of County Commissioners for the County of Passaic (hereafter “Board”) is vested with decision making powers on behalf of the County; and
WHEREAS, the Passaic County Engineer has determined that the exterior sealant protecting the Passaic County Courthouse located at 77 Hamilton Street in the City of Paterson is in need of replacement; and
WHEREAS, the Passaic County Engineering Department has prepared plans and specifications which conform to Passaic County and other engineering standards; and
WHEREAS, the Passaic County Engineer is recommending that the Board authorize the Purchasing Agent to advertise and receive bids for Replacement of Exterior Sealant for the Passaic County Courthouse at 77 Hamilton Street in the City of Paterson; and
WHEREAS, pursuant to N.J.S.A. 40A:11-23, et seq. the County shall publish the advertisement for bids in advance of the date fixed for receiving the bids to promote competitive bidding; and
WHEREAS, this matter was discussed at the October 9, 2024 meeting of the Public Works Committee and is being recommended to the Board for approval.
NOW, THEREFORE, LET IT BE RESOLVED, pursuant to N.J.S.A. 40A:11-23, et seq., that the Passaic County Board of Commissioners hereby authorizes the Passaic County Purchasing Agent to advertise and receive bids as recommended by the Passaic County Engineer for Replacement of Exterior Sealant for the Passaic County Courthouse at 77 Hamilton Street in the City of Paterson.
