RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING DISCHARGE OF MORTGAGE WITH RESPECT TO BORROWERS, BRIAN AND LYNDA DEAN, IN CONNECTION WITH PASSAIC COUNTY SMALL CITIES HOUSING REHABILITATION PROGRAM, PURSUANT TO N.J.S.A. 40:20-1.

WHEREAS, the County of Passaic (hereafter “County”) is a government body incorporated pursuant to N.J.S.A. 40:18-1, et.seq., and vested with all rights contained therein; and
WHEREAS, pursuant to N.J.S.A. 40:20-1, the Board of County Commissioners for the County of Passaic (hereafter “Board”) is vested with decision-making powers on behalf of the County; and
WHEREAS, the Passaic County Department of Planning and Economic Development (hereafter “Department”) formerly sponsored the Passaic County Small Cities Housing Rehabilitation Program for necessary improvements, i.e. roof replacement and heating repairs; and
WHEREAS, Brian Dean and Lynda Dean, his wife, executed a Note and Mortgage in the amount of thirteen thousand and 00/100 ($13,000.00) dollars, dated October 6, 2004, recorded with the Passaic County Register on January 6, 2005, in Book M5528 at Page 240 in connection with the above referenced Program; and
WHEREAS, Borrowers have paid the loan back in full and are requesting that the Mortgage be discharged and the Board, through its Planning and Economic Development Committee, was made aware of the facts presented and recommended that the Mortgage be discharged; and
WHEREAS, this matter was discussed at the November 6, 2024, meeting of the Planning and Economic Development Committee and is being recommended to the Board for approval;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, pursuant to N.J.S.A. 40:20-1, the Board of County Commissioners of the County of Passaic authorizes the Commissioner Director to execute the appropriate Discharge of Mortgage.
