RESOLUTION QUALIFYING PHARMACY CONSULTANTS FOR RESIDENTS OF PREAKNESS HEALTHCARE CENTER, UNDER RFQ-25-034.

WHEREAS, the County of Passaic (hereafter “County”) is a government body incorporated pursuant to N.J.S.A. 40:18-1, et seq. and vested with all rights contained therein; and
WHEREAS, pursuant to N.J.S.A. 40:20-1 the Board of County Commissioners for the County of Passaic (hereafter “Board”) are vested with decision-making powers on behalf of the County; and
WHEREAS, Preakness Healthcare Center (hereafter “Preakness”) is a New Jersey Department of Health licensed, 406-bed skilled nursing facility that is owned and operated by the Board, and is in need of Pharmacy Consultants for residents of Preakness Healthcare Center; and
WHEREAS, pursuant to N.J.S.A. 40A:11-5, et.seq., the Purchasing Agent issued RFQ-25-034: provision of Pharmacy Consultants for residents of Preakness Healthcare Center during period January 1, 2025, through December 31, 2025 (hereafter “RFQ-25-034”) seeking qualifications as set forth above; and
WHEREAS, pursuant to N.J.S.A. 19:44A-20.4, the County’s request for qualifications is a fair and open process, specifically, the qualification for RFQ-25-034 is publicly advertised, awarded under a process that provides for public solicitation of qualifications, established the basis of an award and disclosure process documented in writing prior to any solicitation, and is publicly opened and announced when awarded; and
WHEREAS, the Executive Director of Preakness Healthcare Center is requesting that the Board qualify Pharma Care and PharmD USA LLC for residents of Preakness Healthcare Center; and
WHEREAS, this matter was discussed at the November 12, 2024, meeting of the Health and Human Services Committee and is being recommended to the Board for approval; and
NOW, THEREFORE, LET IT BE RESOLVED, pursuant to N.J.S.A. 40A:11-5, et.seq., the Board of County Commissioners of the County of Passaic hereby qualifies Pharma Care and PharmD USA LLC for the provision of Pharmacy Consultants for residents of Preakness Healthcare Center during period January 1, 2025, through December 31, 2025, under RFQ-25-034; and
LET IT BE FURTHER RESOLVED, that Resolution R-24-1113, dated November 18, 2024, is hereby rescinded.
