RESOLUTION AMENDING RESOLUTION R-24-191 TO INCREASE THE APPROPRIATION AWARD AND TO AMEND THE CONTRACT PERIOD FROM MARCH 1, 2024, TO DECEMBER 1, 2024, TO MARCH 1, 2024 TO DECEMBER 31, 2024

WHEREAS, the County of Passaic (hereafter “County”) is a body politic and corporate pursuant to N.J.S.A. 40:18-1 and vested with all rights contained therein; and
WHEREAS, pursuant to N.J.S.A. 40:20-1 the Board of County Commissioners of the County of Passaic (hereafter “Board”) is vested with managing the property, finances, and affairs of the County; and
WHEREAS, on February 27, 2024, the Board of County Commissioners for the County of Passaic adopted Resolution R-24191 authorizing a one-year lease agreement with 400 Hamburg Turnpike, LLC for a contract period beginning on March 1, 2024, and ending on December 1, 2024, and for a total payment of eighteen thousand dollars ($18,000.00);
WHEREAS, the original resolution request form, issued by the Passaic County Sheriff’s Office, sought funding in the amount of twenty dollars ($20,000) in contemplation of the services negotiated between 400 Hamburg Turnpike, LLC for a contract period beginning on March 1, 2024, and ending on December 31, 2024; and
WHEREAS, Resolution R-24-191 needs to be amended to increase the appropriation to award by two thousand dollars ($2,000), for a total contract award of twenty thousand dollars ($20,000), and to revise the contract period from beginning on March 1, 2024, and ending on December 1, 2024, to beginning on March 1, 2024, and ending on December 31, 2024, in according with the original resolution request form issued by the Passaic County Sheriff’s Office; and
WHEREAS, the funds are in the Account Number 4-01-22-130-002-213, or any other account that may be deemed appropriate by the Chief Financial Officer or his designee, and the availability of funds has been contingently certified by the Chief Financial Officer subject to sufficient funds being appropriated by the Board in 2024 or subsequent years’ County budget(s), which is attached to and made part of this Resolution.
NOW, THEREFORE, LET IT BE RESOLVED, pursuant to N.J.S.A. 40A:11-10, et. seq. and the Board of County Commissioners of the County of Passaic that it hereby authorizes an amendment to Resolution R 24-191 to increase the appropriation to award by two thousand dollars ($2,000), for a total contract award of twenty thousand dollars ($20,000), and to revise the contract period from beginning on March 1, 2024, and ending on December 1, 2024, to beginning on March 1, 2024, and ending on December 31, 2024, in according with the original resolution request form issued by the Passaic County Sheriff’s Office.
LET IT BE FURTHER RESOLVED, that all the other terms and conditions as set forth in Resolution R-24-191 remain in full force and effect.
LET IT BE FURTHER RESOLVED, that the revisions in this Resolution shall reflect the same in the relevant lease agreement between the County and 400 Hamburg Turnpike LLC.
LET IT BE FURTHER RESOLVED, that the Clerk of the Board, County Counsel, Director of the Board of County Commissioners, and Purchasing Agent are authorized to take any other action necessary to carry out the purpose of this Resolution.
