RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE PURCHASE OF TWO (2) COPIER PRINTERS FROM ATLANTIC TOMORROW’S OFFICE FOR THE DEPARTMENT OF CULTURAL & HISTORICAL AFFAIRS, PURSUANT TO N.J.S.A. 40A:11-12, ET.SEQ.

WHEREAS, the County of Passaic (hereafter “County”) is a body politic and corporate pursuant to N.J.S.A. 40:18-1 and vested with all rights contained therein; and
WHEREAS, pursuant to N.J.S.A. 40:20-1 the Board of County Commissioners for the County of Passaic (hereafter “Board”) are vested with decision-making powers on behalf of the County; and
WHEREAS, pursuant to N.J.S.A. 40A:11-12, et. seq., the County may, without advertising for bids or having rejected all bids obtained pursuant to advertising thereof, purchase any goods or services under any contract or contracts for such goods or services entered into on behalf of the State of New Jersey by the Division of Purchase and Property in the Department of Treasury; and
WHEREAS, Atlantic Tomorrow’s Office provided a quote for the purchase of two (2) printer copiers in an amount not to exceed eleven thousand five hundred dollars ($11,500.00) attached to an made part of this Resolution, which is being recommended for approval by the Director of the Department of Cultural & Historical Affairs; and
WHEREAS, funds are available in Account No. 4-01-30-201-001-223 or any other account that may be deemed appropriate by the Chief Financial Officer or his designee, and the availability of funds has been contingently certified by the Chief Financial Officer subject to sufficient funds being appropriated by the Board in the 2024 and/or subsequent years’ County budget(s); and
WHEREAS, pursuant to N.J.S.A. 52:32-60-1, et seq., vendor executed the Non-Involvement in Prohibited Activities in Russia or Belarus Certification, attached hereto and made part of this Resolution, certifying the vendor is not involved in prohibited activities in Russia and Belarus, and the County confirmed vendor is not identified on the Specially Designated Nationals and Blocked Persons list created by the Office of Foreign Assets Control; and
WHEREAS, this matter was discussed at December 11, 2022 Public Works Committee meeting and is being recommended to the Board for approval; and
NOW, THEREFORE, LET IT BE RESOLVED, pursuant to N.J.S.A. 40A:11-1, et seq. the Board of County Commissioners of the County of Passaic authorizes the purchase of two (2) printer copiers in an amount not to exceed eleven thousand five hundred dollars ($11,500.00).
LET IT BE FURTHER RESOLVED, that the Clerk of the Board, County Counsel, Director of the Board of County Commissioners are authorized to execute an agreement with Atlantic Tomorrow’s Office and take any other steps necessary to carry out the purpose of this Resolution.
