RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE COUNTY OF PASSAIC DEPARTMENT OF PLANNING AND ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT TO ACCEPT FUNDING IN THE AMOUNT OF $180,060.00 FROM THE NORTH JERSEY TRANSPORTATION PLANNING AUTHORITY FOR FY2025 UNIFIED PLANNING WORK PROGRAM, SUBREGIONAL TRANSPORTATION PLANNING PROGRAM GRANT.

WHEREAS, the County of Passaic (hereafter “County”) is a governmental body incorporated pursuant to N.J.S.A. 40:18-1, et seq. and vested with all rights contained therein; and
WHEREAS, pursuant to N.J.S.A. 40:20-1 the Board of County Commissioners for the County of Passaic (hereafter “Board”) is vested with decision-making powers on behalf of the County; and
WHEREAS, the North Jersey Transportation Planning Authority, the Subregional Studies Program supports coordination with state and regional agencies on transportation, planning, programming, and funding of Passaic County projects and activities; and
WHEREAS, the Department of Planning and Economic Development desires to accept funding in the amount of one hundred eighty thousand sixty and 00/100 ($180,060.00) dollars from the New Jersey Transportation Planning Authority for FY 2025 Unified Planning Work Program, Subregional Transportation Planning Program Grant; and
WHEREAS, this matter was discussed at the March 13, 2025, meeting of the Planning and Economic Development Committee and is being recommended to the Board for approval; and
NOW THEREFORE, LET IT BE RESOLVED, the Board of County Commissioners of the County of Passaic hereby authorizes the acceptance of one hundred eighty thousand sixty and 00/100 ($180,060.00) dollars from the New Jersey Transportation Planning Authority for FY 2025 Unified Planning Work Program, Subregional Transportation Planning Program Grant; and
LET IT BE FURTHER RESOLVED that the Director and Clerk and any other appropriate county official be authorized to execute the necessary agreement to effectuate the above.
