RESOLUTION CONCURRING WITH CITY OF PASSAIC ORDINANCE NO. 2484-25 DATED JULY 1, 2025, PURSUANT TO N.J.S.A. 40:20-1 ET SEQ.

WHEREAS, the County of Passaic (hereafter “County”) is a government body incorporated pursuant to N.J.S.A. 40:18-1, et seq. and vested with all rights contained therein; and
WHEREAS, pursuant to N.J.S.A. 40:20-1 the Board of County Commissioners for the County of Passaic are vested with decision-making powers on behalf of the County; and
WHEREAS, the County is responsible for the maintenance Broadway in the City of Passaic, specifically from Main Avenue to Randolph Street and from Richard Street to Clifton Line; and
WHEREAS, the City of Passaic has adopted Ordinance No. 2484-25 dated July 1, 2025, attached hereto and made part hereof establishing the relocation of one (1) bus stop on Broadway from its current location, beginning at the easterly curbline of Boulevard and extending one hundred (100) feet easterly therefrom to its future location beginning at the easterly curbline of Lafayette Avenue and extending one hundred (100) feet easterly therefrom: and
WHEREAS, the Acting County Engineer is recommending that the Board concur with the decision of the City of Passaic to adopt Ordinance No. 2484-25 dated July 31, 2025; and
WHEREAS, this matter was discussed at the July 30, 2025 meeting of the Public Works Committee and is being recommended to the Board for approval; and
NOW, THEREFORE, LET IT BE RESOLVED, pursuant to N.J.S.A. 40:20-1 et seq. that the Board of County Commissioners of the County of Passaic hereby concurs with Ordinance No. 2484-25 dated July 1, 2025 adopted by the City of Passaic; and
LET IT BE FURTHER RESOLVED, that the Clerk of the Board, County Counsel, Acting County Engineer, and Director of the Board are authorized and take any other steps necessary to carry out the purpose of this resolution.
