RESOLUTION TO ACCEPT REVISED AMOUNT FOR GRANT FROM THE NJ DIVISION OF MENTAL HEALTH FOR CALENDAR YEAR 2025.

WHEREAS, the County of Passaic (“County”) is a government body incorporated, pursuant to N.J.S.A. 40:18-1 et.seq. and vested with all rights contained therein; and
WHEREAS, pursuant to N.J.S.A. 40:20-1, the Board of County Commissioners of the County of Passaic (“Board”) is vested with managing the property, finances, and affairs of the County; and
WHEREAS, Preakness Healthcare Center (hereafter “Preakness”) is a New Jersey Department of Health licensed, 406-bed skilled nursing facility that is owned and operated by the Board; and
WHEREAS, the Executive Director of Preakness is requesting a resolution to accept revised amount for grant from NJ Division of Mental Health for calendar year 2025; and
WHEREAS, NJ Division of Mental Health decreased amount of Mental Health Grant due to termination of contract; and
WHEREAS, the original contract period was January 1, 2025, to December 31, 2025, and changed to January 1, 2025, to June 30, 2025; and
WHEREAS, the termination date is June 30, 2025; and
WHEREAS, the amount to be accepted is one hundred sixty-eight thousand two hundred eight seven and 00/100 ($168,287.00) dollars; and
WHEREAS, this matter was discussed at the August 5, 2025, Health and Human Services Committee meeting and is being recommended to the Board for approval; and
NOW, THEREFORE, LET IT BE RESOLVED, the Board of County Commissioners of the County of Passaic (hereafter “Board”) authorize the acceptance of the revised amount for grant from the NJ Division of Mental Health for calendar year 2025; and
LET IT BE FURTHER RESOLVED, that the Clerk to the Board, County Counsel, and the Director of the Board are authorized to take any action necessary to carry out the purpose of this Resolution.
