RESOLUTION APPROVING VARIOUS APPOINTMENTS TO THE EXECUTIVE BOARD OF THE PASSAIC COUNTY INTERAGENCY COUNCIL ON HOMELESSNESS, PURSUANT TO N.J.S.A. 40:20-1.

WHEREAS, the County of Passaic (“County”) is a body politic and corporate pursuant to N.J.S.A. 40:18-1 and vested with all rights contained therein; and
WHEREAS, pursuant to N.J.S.A. 40:20-1, the Board of County Commissioners of the County of Passaic (“Board”) is vested with managing the property, finances, and affairs of the County; and
WHEREAS, the Passaic County Interagency Council on Homelessness (“PCICH”) is an organization that acts as a Continuum of Care and Community Emergency Assistance Coalition for the County, administers the Passaic County Homeless Trust Fund, and generally provides information, services, and advocacy for and on behalf of the County’s homeless population; and
WHEREAS, per the PCICH’s Bylaws, the PCICH’s Executive Board (“PCICH Board”) is made up of not less than seven and not more than fifteen members from the following eligible categories: County Representative (maximum of one); Municipal Representative (maximum of one from each of the three municipalities in the County with the largest homeless population); Community Advocates (maximum of three, either homeless or formerly homeless individuals); and Community Stakeholders (maximum of eight); and
WHEREAS, candidates for the PCICH Board are to be recommended by the PCICH’s Nominations Committee and voted on by the full membership of the PCICH, following which each candidate must be approved by the County’s Board of County Commissioners; and
WHEREAS, the PCICH is requesting that the Board approve the following appointments to the PCICH Board, each for a term effective immediately and expiring on June 30, 2027; and
- Judith Sanchez (City of Passaic Representative)
- Dennis Rolon (City of Paterson Representative)
- Tenee Joyner (Community Stakeholder)
- Giancarlo DiLonardo (Community Stakeholder)
- Bobby Faison (Community Stakeholder)
WHEREAS, this matter was discussed by the Administration & Finance Committee and is being recommended to the Board for approval.
NOW, THEREFORE, LET IT BE RESOLVED, pursuant to N.J.S.A. 40:20-1, the Board of County Commissioners of the County of Passaic hereby approves the following appointments to the Executive Board of the Passaic County Interagency Council on Homelessness, each for a for a term effective immediately and expiring on June 30, 2027:
- Judith Sanchez (City of Passaic Representative)
- Dennis Rolon (City of Paterson Representative)
- Tenee Joyner (Community Stakeholder)
- Giancarlo DiLonardo (Community Stakeholder)
- Bobby Faison (Community Stakeholder)
LET IT BE FURTHER RESOLVED, that the Clerk of the Board, County Counsel, County Administrator, and Director of the Board are authorized to take any action necessary to carry out the purpose of this Resolution.
