RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING AN AWARD OF CONTRACT TO OFFICE CONCEPTS GROUP, INC., FOR OFFICE FURNITURE AT THE PASSAIC COUNTY POLICE ACADEMY, PURSUANT TO N.J.S.A. 40A:11-10.

WHEREAS, the County of Passaic (the “County”) is a government body incorporated pursuant to N.J.S.A. 40:18-1, et seq. and vested with all rights contained therein; and
WHEREAS, pursuant to N.J.S.A. 40:20-1 the Board of County Commissioners for the County of Passaic (hereinafter the “Board”) are vested with decision making powers on behalf of the County; and
WHEREAS, the Supervisor of Roads is seeking a contractor to screen, load, and recycle street sweepings collected on County roads; and
WHEREAS, pursuant to N.J.S.A. 40A:11-10, the governing bodies of two or more contracting units may provide by a joint agreement for the provision of the performance of goods and services to be used by their respective jurisdictions; and
WHEREAS, the County is a member of the Somerset County Cooperative Pricing System, #2SOCCP, which awarded a contract for Office Furniture, #CC-0001-24 to Office Concepts Group, Inc. of Midland Park, New Jersey to provide such goods and services; and
WHEREAS, Office Concepts Group, Inc., provided a quote to the Director of the Passaic County Police Academy for various items of office furniture, in an amount not to exceed two thousand two hundred seven dollars ($2,207.00) attached to and made part of this resolution, which is being recommended for approval by the Director of the Passaic County Police Academy; and
WHEREAS, funds are available in Account No. 5-01-30-206-001-PE1 or any other account that may be deemed appropriate by the Chief Financial Officer or his designee, and the availability of funds has been contingently certified by the Chief Financial Officer subject to sufficient funds being appropriated by the Board in the 2024 and/or subsequent years’ County budget(s), which is attached to and made part of this Resolution; and
WHEREAS, this matter was discussed at the September 2, 2025 meeting of the Law and Public Safety Committee and is being recommended to the Board for approval; and
NOW, THEREFORE, LET IT BE RESOLVED, pursuant to N.J.S.A. 40A:11-10, the Board of County Commissioners of the County of Passaic is authorizing an award of contract to Office Concepts Group, Inc., to provide office furniture to the Passaic County Police Academy, in an amount not to exceed two thousand two hundred seven dollars ($2,207.00), as recommended by the Director of the Passaic County Police Academy.
LET IT BE FURTHER RESOLVED, that the Director of the Board of County Commissioners, the Clerk to the Board, County Counsel, and Purchasing Agent are authorized to execute an agreement and take any other steps necessary to carry out the purpose of this resolution.
