RESOLUTION AMENDING R-24-1192, DATED DECEMBER 30, 2024, GRANT AWARD NO: DOAS25SNAP11 FROM THE DEPARTMENT OF HUMAN SERVICES, DIVISION OF AGING SERVICES, TO INCORPORATE ADDITIONAL FUNDING FROM $287,694 TO $487,694 FOR AN INCREASE AMOUNT OF $200,000.

WHEREAS, the County of Passaic (hereafter “County”) is a government body incorporated pursuant to N.J.S.A. 40:18-1, et seq. and vested with all rights contained therein; and
WHEREAS, pursuant to N.J.S.A. 40:20-1 the Board of County Commissioners for the County of Passaic (hereafter “Board”) is vested with decision-making powers on behalf of the County; and
WHEREAS, the County, through its Department of Senior Services (hereafter “Department”), provides assistance with senior benefit programs, including home and community services to senior citizens throughout Passaic County; and
WHEREAS, in the Information Memorandum No. 2025-13, I-13, dated September 2, 2025, attached hereto and made a part hereof, the State of New Jersey, Department of Human Services, Division of Aging Services, noticed the County of the reallocation of AAA NJSNAP (New Jersey Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program) 2025 Grant funds; and
WHEREAS, the Board desires to pass a Resolution amending Resolution R-24-1192, dated December 30, 2024, NJSNAP 2025 Grant No. DOAS25SNAP11, to incorporate additional funding due to the redistribution of funds, from $287,694.00 to $487,694.00, for an increase of $200,000.00; and
WHEREAS, the grant increase will support AAA/ADRC efforts to provide assistance with NJSNAP applications for (60+) and individuals with disabilities (18+) as well as helping and completing NJSAVE and NJ Family Care applications throughout Passaic County; and
WHEREAS, the service period for the NJSNAP allocation is January 1, 2025, to June 30, 2026; and
WHEREAS, this matter was discussed at the September 16, 2025, meeting of the Health and Human Services Committee and is being recommended to the Board for approval; and
NEW THEREFORE, LET IT BE RESOLVED, the Board of County Commissioners of the County of Passaic (hereafter “Board”), hereby amends resolution R-24-1192, dated December 30, 2024, NJSNAP 2025 Grant No. DOAS25SNAP11, to incorporate additional funding due to the redistribution of funds, from $287,694.00 to $487,694.00, for an increase of $200,000.00, as stated in the Information Memorandum No: 2025-13, I-13, dated September 2, 2025 attached hereto; and
LET IT BE FURTHER RESOLVED, that the Director of the Board, Clerk to the Board, and the Executive Director of the Department of Senior Services are hereby authorized to execute any documents to carry out the terms of this resolution.
