RESOLUTION CONCURRING WITH ORDINANCE NO. 2374-25 DATED AUGUST 13, 2025 OF THE BOROUGH OF HAWTHORNE, AND ORDINANCE NO. 2025-08 DATED AUGUST 18, 2025 OF THE BOROUGH OF PROSPECT PARK, PURSUANT TO N.J.S.A. 40:20-1 ET SEQ.

WHEREAS, the County of Passaic (hereafter “County”) is a government body incorporated pursuant to N.J.S.A. 40:18-1, et seq. and vested with all rights contained therein; and
WHEREAS, pursuant to N.J.S.A. 40:20-1, the Board of County Commissioners of the County of Passaic (hereafter “Board”) is vested with decision making powers on behalf of the County; and
WHEREAS, the County is responsible for the maintenance of North 8th Street in the Borough of Hawthorne and the Borough of Prospect Park; and
WHEREAS, the Borough of Hawthorne has adopted Ordinance No. 2374-25 dated August 13, 2025, and the Borough of Prospect Park has adopted Ordinance No. 2025-08 dated August 18, 2025, each attached hereto and made part hereof, which together establish that North 8th Street, from Goffle Road to Prescott Avenue be designated a one-way street in the southerly direction from September 8, 2025 to December 8, 2025, such designation expiring thereafter; and
WHEREAS, this matter was discussed at the October 1, 2025 meeting of the Public Works Committee and is being recommended to the Board for approval; and
NOW, THEREFORE, LET IT BE RESOLVED, pursuant to N.J.S.A. 40:20-1 et seq. that the Board of County Commissioners of the County of Passaic hereby concurs with Ordinance No. 2374-25 dated August 13, 2025 adopted by the Borough of Hawthorne.
NOW, THEREFORE, LET IT BE RESOLVED, pursuant to N.J.S.A. 40:20-1 et seq. that the Board of County Commissioners of the County of Passaic hereby concurs with Ordinance No. 2025-08 dated August 18, 2025 adopted by the Borough of Prospect Park.
LET IT BE FURTHER RESOLVED, that the Clerk of the Board, County Counsel, County Engineer, and Director of the Board are authorized and take any other steps necessary to carry out the purpose of this resolution.
