RESOLUTION NAMING THE PROPERTY AT 335 UNION AVENUE IN BLOOMINGDALE AS HIGHLANDS FARM IN THE PASSAIC COUNTY PARK SYSTEM, PURSUANT TO N.J.S.A. 40:20-1

WHEREAS, the County of Passaic (“County”) is a body politic and corporate pursuant to N.J.S.A. 40:18-1 and vested with all rights contained therein; and
WHEREAS, pursuant to N.J.S.A. 40:20-1, the Board of County Commissioners of the County of Passaic (“Board”) is vested with managing the property, finances, and affairs of the County; and
WHEREAS, on June 28, 2022, the Board passed Resolution No. R-22-0554, authorizing a purchase and sale agreement with Spring Brook Aces, Inc., for the purchase by the County of real property located at 335 Union Avenue, Bloomingdale, New Jersey 07403 (“Property”), and
WHEREAS, pursuant to the above-described agreement, ownership of the Property was transferred to the County on March 26, 2025; and
WHEREAS, the County wishes to name the Property as “Highlands Farm” and incorporate same into the Passaic County Parks System; and
WHEREAS, this matter was discussed at the January 21, 2026, Administration & Finance Committee meeting, and is being recommended to the Board for approval.
NOW, THEREFORE, LET IT BE RESOLVED, pursuant to N.J.S.A. 40:20-1, the Board of County Commissioners of the County of Passaic hereby names the Property as “Highlands Farm” and authorizes its inclusion in the Passaic County Parks System.
LET IT BE FURTHER RESOLVED, that the Clerk to the Board, County Counsel, County Administrator, and Director of the Board are authorized to take any action necessary to carry out the purpose of this Resolution.
