RESOLUTION REAPPOINTING MOHAMMAD QUADAH AS AN ALTERNATE MEMBER OF THE PASSAIC COUNTY UTILITIES AUTHORITY FOR A FIVE (5) YEAR TERM, BEGINNING ON FEBRUARY 1, 2026, AND EXPIRING ON FEBRUARY 1, 2031, PURSUANT TO N.J.S.A. 40:14B-4

WHEREAS, the County of Passaic (“County”) is a body politic and corporate pursuant to N.J.S.A. 40:18-1 and vested with all rights contained therein; and
WHEREAS, pursuant to N.J.S.A. 40:20-1, the Board of County Commissioners of the County of Passaic (“Board”) is vested with managing the property, finances, and affairs of the County; and
WHEREAS, pursuant to N.J.S.A. 40:14B-4, the Board created the Passaic County Utilities Authority (“PCUA”); and
WHEREAS, pursuant to N.J.S.A. 40:14B-4(b)(2), members of the PCUA are appointed by the Board for five (5) year terms, with terms commencing on February 1 of such year and expiring on February 1 in the fifth year after such year; and; and
WHEREAS, on February 23, 2021, the Board passed Resolution No. R20210150, reappointing Mohammad Quadah as an Alternate Member of the PCUA for a five (5) year term, beginning retroactively on February 1, 2021, and expiring on February 1, 2026, as set forth under the law; and
WHEREAS, the County Administrator is recommending the reappointment of Mohammad Quadah as an Alternate Member of the PCUA for a five (5) year term, beginning on February 1, 2026 and expiring on February 1, 2031; and
WHEREAS, this matter was discussed at the January 21, 2026, Administration & Finance Committee meeting, and is being recommended to the Board for approval.
NOW, THEREFORE, LET IT BE RESOLVED, pursuant to N.J.S.A. 40:14B-4, the Board of County Commissioners of the County of Passaic hereby reappoints Mohammad Quadah as an Alternate Member of the PCUA for a five (5) year term, beginning on February 1, 2026, and expiring on February 1, 2031.
LET IT BE FURTHER RESOLVED, that the Clerk to the Board, County Counsel, County Administrator, and Director of the Board are authorized to take any action necessary to carry out the purpose of this Resolution.
