RESOLUTION CONCURRING WITH CITY OF CLIFTON ORDINANCE NO. 046-26 DATED FEBRUARY 3, 2026, PURSUANT TO N.J.S.A. 40:20-1 ET SEQ.

WHEREAS, the County of Passaic (hereafter “County”) is a government body incorporated pursuant to N.J.S.A. 40:18-1, et seq. and vested with all rights contained therein; and
WHEREAS, pursuant to N.J.S.A. 40:20-1 the Board of County Commissioners for the County of Passaic are vested with decision-making powers on behalf of the County; and
WHEREAS, the County is responsible for the maintenance Clifton Avenue in the City of Clifton, specifically from Randolph Avenue to Van Houten Avenue; and
WHEREAS, the City of Clifton has adopted Ordinance No. 046-26 dated February 3, 2026, attached hereto and made part hereof, permitting a new designated bus stop on the northerly side of Clifton Avenue, westbound at Fleischer Place, which will be known as Stop #31377 and beginning at the easterly curb line of Fleischer Place extending 105 feet easterly therefrom; and
WHEREAS, the County Engineer is recommending that the Board concur with the decision of the City of Clifton to adopt Ordinance No. 046-26 dated February 3, 2026; and
WHEREAS, this matter was discussed at the February 11, 2026 meeting of the Public Works Committee and is being recommended to the Board for approval; and
NOW, THEREFORE, LET IT BE RESOLVED, pursuant to N.J.S.A. 40:20-1 et seq. that the Board of County Commissioners of the County of Passaic hereby concurs with Ordinance No. 046-26 dated February 3, 2026 adopted by the City of Clifton; and
LET IT BE FURTHER RESOLVED, that the Clerk of the Board, County Counsel, County Engineer, and Director of the Board are authorized and take any other steps necessary to carry out the purpose of this resolution.
