RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING AN AWARD OF CONTRACT TO ALLEGIANCE TRUCK LLC, FOR THE REPAIR OF PASSAIC COUNTY SNOW PLOWING TRUCKS, PURSUANT TO N.J.S.A. 40A:11-10

WHEREAS, the County of Passaic (hereafter “County”) is a government body incorporated pursuant to N.J.S.A. 40:18-1, et seq. and vested with all rights contained therein; and
WHEREAS, pursuant to N.J.S.A. 40:20-1 the Board of County Commissioners for the County of Passaic (hereafter “Board”) are vested with decision making powers on behalf of the County; and
WHEREAS, pursuant to N.J.S.A. 40A:11-10, the governing bodies of two or more contracting units may provide by a joint agreement for the provision of the performance of goods and services to be used by their respective jurisdictions; and
WHEREAS, the County is a member of the New Jersey Cooperative Purchasing Alliance #CK04 (“#CK04”) a joint cooperative pricing system, offering competitive pricing for various goods and services established pursuant to N.J.S.A. 40A:11-10, et seq.; and
WHEREAS, pursuant to N.J.S.A. 40A:11-10, #CK04 issued and awarded a contract to Allegiance Truck LLC DBA At Northern NJ LLC, under BC-Bid-24-34.1N for a bid term beginning on the date of award and expiring on December 4, 2026; and
WHEREAS, the Supervisor of Roads is in need of parts and repair services to repair County-owned snow plowing trucks; and
WHEREAS, Allegiance Truck LLC, provided a quote to the Supervisor of Roads to repair County-owned vehicles and trucks, in a total amount not to exceed fifty thousand dollars ($50,000.00), which is being recommended for Board approval by the Supervisor of Roads; and
WHEREAS, the Supervisor of Roads is recommending that the Board authorize an award of contract to Allegiance Truck LLC DBA At Northern NJ LLC, to repair and/or provide parts for County-owned vehicles and trucks, in a total amount not to exceed fifty thousand dollars ($50,000.00) for the repair of Passaic County snow plowing trucks; and
WHEREAS, funds are available in Account No. 5-01-26-151-001-222, or any other account that may be deemed appropriate by the Chief Financial Officer or his designee, and the availability of funds has been contingently certified by the Chief Financial Officer subject to sufficient funds being appropriated by the Board in the 2025 and/or subsequent years’ County budget (s), which is attached to and made part of this Resolution; and
WHEREAS, this matter was discussed at the November 25, 2025 meeting of the Public Works Committee, and is being recommended to the Board for approval; and
NOW, THEREFORE LET IT BE RESOLVED, pursuant to N.J.S.A. 40A:11-10, the Board of County Commissioners of the County of Passaic authorizes an award of contract to Allegiance Truck LLC DBA At Northern NJ LLC, in a total amount not to exceed fifty thousand dollars ($50,000.00) to repair County-owned snow plowing trucks, as recommended by the Supervisor of Roads.
LET IT BE FURTHER RESOLVED, that the Clerk to the Board, County Counsel, and the Director of the Board are authorized to take any other steps necessary to carry out the purpose of this resolution.
