RESOLUTION AMENDING RESOLUTION NO. R-23-0220 AND RESOLUTION NO. R-24-423, TO ACCEPT ADDITIONAL GRANT FUNDS FOR THE DATA-DRIVEN DECISION MAKING: ORGANIZATIONAL ENHANCEMENT PROGRAM GRANT AND EXTEND THE GRANT TERM TO JUNE 30, 2026, PURSUANT TO N.J.S.A. 40:20-1

WHEREAS, the County of Passaic (“County”) is a body politic and corporate pursuant to N.J.S.A. 40:18-1 and vested with all rights contained therein; and
WHEREAS, pursuant to N.J.S.A. 40:20-1, the Board of County Commissioners of the County of Passaic (“Board”) is vested with managing the property, finances, and affairs of the County; and
WHEREAS, the Department of Human Services (“Department”) is an umbrella social service agency concerned with planning and funding services for disadvantaged and homeless citizens; and
WHEREAS, the Director of the Department has advised that the County has been awarded one hundred eleven thousand five hundred fourteen dollars and sixty-six cents ($111,514.66) in additional Data-Driven Decision Making: Organizational Enhancement Program grant funds from the New Jersey Department of Community Affairs, raising the total award amount from twenty thousand dollars ($20,000.00) to one hundred thirty-one thousand five hundred fourteen dollars and sixty-six cents ($131,514.66), and extending the term of the grant to June 30, 2026; and
WHEREAS, the Department accordingly wishes to amend Resolution No. 23-0220 (adopted on March 14, 2023) and Resolution No. R-24-423 (adopted on May 21, 2024) to reflect the above-described increase and extension; and
WHEREAS, this matter was discussed at the February 18, 2026, meeting of the Health and Human Services Committee and is being recommended to the Board for approval.
NOW, THEREFORE, LET IT BE RESOLVED, pursuant to N.J.S.A. 40:20-1 et seq., the Board of County Commissioners of the County of Passaic hereby amends Resolution No. 23-0220 (adopted on March 14, 2023) and Resolution No. R-24-423 (adopted on May 21, 2024) to reflect the receipt of one hundred eleven thousand five hundred fourteen dollars and sixty-six cents ($111,514.66) in additional Data-Driven Decision Making: Organizational Enhancement Program grant funds from the New Jersey Department of Community Affairs, raising the total award amount from twenty thousand dollars ($20,000.00) to one hundred thirty-one thousand five hundred fourteen dollars and sixty-six cents ($131,514.66), and the extension of the grant term to June 30, 2026.
LET IT BE FURTHER RESOLVED, that the Clerk of the Board, County Counsel, Purchasing Agent, Director of the Department, and Director of the Board are authorized to take any action necessary to carry out the purpose of this Resolution.
