RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING EXECUTION OF THE LOGISTIC LETTERS BETWEEN THE PASSAIC COUNTY DEPARTMENT OF HEALTH SERVICES AND NJ COMMISSION FOR THE BLIND AND VISUALLY IMPAIRED TO REQUEST AN EYE SCREENING AT THE TOTOWA SITE.

WHEREAS, the County of Passaic (hereafter “County”) is a government body incorporated pursuant to N.J.S.A. 40:18-1, et seq. and vested with all rights contained therein; and
WHEREAS, pursuant to N.J.S.A. 40:20-1 the Board of County Commissioners for the County of Passaic (hereafter “Board”) is vested with decision making powers on behalf of the County; and
WHEREAS, the Department of Health Services (hereafter “Department”) is responsible for protecting and promoting the health of approximately 510,000 residents of the County; and
WHEREAS, the Department is requesting execution of the Logistic Letter between the Passaic County Department of Health Services and NJ Commission for the Blind and Visually Impaired to request an eye screening at the Totowa site. This screening is for our Men’s Health Extravaganza scheduled for Saturday, June 8, 2024, Time 10:00AM-2:00PM.
WHEREAS, the Department is requesting execution of the Logistic Letter between the Passaic County Department of Health Services and NJ Commission for the Blind and Visually Impaired to request an eye screening at the Totowa site. This screening is for our Women’s Health Extravaganza scheduled for Saturday, May 4, 2024, Time 10:00AM-2:00PM.
WHEREAS, this matter was discussed at the February 20, 2024, meeting of the Health and Human Services Committee and is being recommended to the Board for approval; and
NOW, THEREFORE, LET IT BE RESOLVED, pursuant to N.J.S.A. 40:20-1, et seq., the Board of County Commissioners of the County of Passaic (hereafter “Board”) authorizes the execution of the Logistic Letters between the Passaic County Department of Health Servies and NJ Commission for the Blind and Visually Impaired to request an eye screening at the Totowa site.
LET IT BE FURTHER RESOLVED, that the Clerk to the Board, the County Counsel, the Director of the Board and the Director/Health Officer are authorized to take any other steps necessary to carry out the purpose of this Resolution.
