RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING AWARD OF CONTRACT TO GENTILINI CHEVROLET, LLC, FOR TWO (2) 2024 CHEVROLET TAHOE PPV 4WD VEHICLES FOR THE PASSAIC COUNTY SHERIFF’S OFFICE K9 UNIT, PURSUANT TO N.J.S.A. 40A: 11-12

WHEREAS, the County of Passaic (“County”) is a body politic and corporate pursuant to N.J.S.A. 40:18-1 and vested with all rights contained therein; and
WHEREAS, pursuant to N.J.S.A. 40:20-1, the Board of County Commissioners of the County of Passaic (“Board”) is vested with managing the property, finances, and affairs of the County; and
WHEREAS, pursuant to N.J.S.A. 40:11-12, et seq., the County may, without advertising for bids, or having rejected all bids obtained pursuant to advertising thereof, purchase any goods or services under any contract or contracts for such goods or services entered into on behalf of the State of New Jersey by the Division of Purchase and Property in the Department of Treasury; and
WHEREAS, Gentilini Chevrolet, LLC, submitted competitive pricing for T2776S - Police Pursuit and SSV: Sedans and Sport Utility Vehicles, with Gasoline Engine, Master Blanket Purchase Order 21-FLEET-01485, to the State of New Jersey, Division of Purchase and Property in the Department of Treasury; and
WHEREAS, the Passaic County Sheriff’s Office is recommending an award if contract to Gentilini Chevrolet, LLC, for the purchase of two (2) Chevrolet Tahoe PPV 4WD vehicles for the K9 Unit, in an amount not to exceed one hundred three thousand eight hundred eighty-six dollars and fourteen cents ($103,886.14); and
WHEREAS, funds are available in Account No. T-13-56-860-000-801, or any other account that may be deemed appropriate by the Chief Financial Officer or his designee, and the availability of funds has been contingently certified by the Chief Financial Officer subject to sufficient funds being appropriated by the Board in the 2025 and/or subsequent years’ County budget (s), which is attached to and made part of this Resolution
WHEREAS, this matter was discussed at the December 2, 2025 meeting of the Law and Public Safety Committee and is being recommended to the Board for approval.
NOW, THEREFORE, LET IT BE RESOLVED, pursuant to N.J.S.A. 40A:11-12, the Passaic County Board of Commissioners hereby awards a contract to Gentilini Chevrolet, LLC, for the purchase of two (2) Chevrolet Tahoe PPV 4WD vehicles for the K9 Unit, in an amount not to exceed one hundred three thousand eight hundred eighty-six dollars and fourteen cents ($103,886.14), as recommended by the Passaic County Sheriff’s Office.
LET IT BE FURTHER RESOLVED, that the Clerk to the Board, County Counsel, and Director of the Passaic County Board of County Commissioners are authorized to execute an agreement and take any other steps necessary to carry out the purpose of this resolution.
