RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE PASSAIC COUNTY PURCHASING AGENT TO ADVERTISE AND RECEIVE BIDS FOR THE 2026 ROADWAY RESURFACING PROGRAM AT VARIOUS COUNTY LOCATIONS, PURSUANT N.J.S.A 40A: 11-23, ET SEQ.

WHEREAS, the County of Passaic (hereafter “County”) is a body politic and corporate pursuant to N.J.S.A. 40:18-1 and vested with all rights contained therein; and
WHEREAS, pursuant to N.J.S.A. 40:20-1 the Board of County Commissioners for the County of Passaic (hereafter “Board”) is vested with decision making powers on behalf of the County; and
WHEREAS, the County Engineer is recommending that the Board authorize the Purchasing Agent to advertise and receive bids for the 2026 Roadway Resurfacing project which is partially funded by a NJDOT County Aid Grant; and
WHEREAS, pursuant to N.J.S.A. 40A:11-23, et seq. the County shall publish the advertisement for bids in advance of the date fixed for receiving the bids to promote competitive bidding; and
WHEREAS, this matter was discussed at the June 10, 2026 meeting of the Public Works Committee and is being recommended to the Board for approval.
NOW, THEREFORE, LET IT BE RESOLVED, pursuant to N.J.S.A. 40A:11-23, et seq., that the Passaic County Board of Commissioners hereby authorizes the Passaic County Purchasing Agent to advertise and receive bids as recommended by the County Engineer for the 2026 Roadway Resurfacing project at various locations within the County
