RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE DIRECTOR OF PURCHASING TO ADVERTISE AND RECEIVE BIDS FOR THE 71 HAMILTON COURTROOMS 200 & 220 REPAIRS, CITY OF PATERSON, PURSUANT N.J.S.A 40A: 11-23, ET SEQ.

WHEREAS, the County of Passaic (hereafter “County”) is a government body incorporated pursuant to N.J.S.A. 40:18-1, et seq. and vested with all rights contained therein; and
WHEREAS, pursuant to N.J.S.A. 40:20-1 the Board of County Commissioners for the County of Passaic (hereafter “Board”) is vested with decision-making powers on behalf of the County; and
WHEREAS, the Passaic County Engineer is recommending that the Board authorize the Director of Purchasing to advertise and receive bids for the 71 Hamilton Courtrooms 200 & 220 Repairs in the City of Paterson; and
WHEREAS, pursuant to N.J.S.A. 40A:11-23, et seq. the County will publish the advertisement for bids in advance of the date fixed for receiving the bids to promote competitive bidding; and
WHEREAS, this matter was discussed at the August 26, 2026 meeting of the Public Works Committee and is being recommended to the Board for approval.
NOW, THEREFORE, LET IT BE RESOLVED, pursuant to N.J.S.A. 40A:11-23, et seq., that the Passaic County Board of County Commissioners hereby authorizes the Director of Purchasing to advertise and receive bids as recommended by the Passaic County Engineer for the 71 Hamilton Courtrooms 200 & 220 Repairs in the City of Paterson.
LET IT BE FURTHER RESOLVED, that the Clerk to the Board, County Counsel, and the Director of the Board are authorized to take any other steps necessary to carry out the purpose of this Resolution.
