RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING A PURCHASE OF ONE 2027 HOOK LOADER AND ASSOCIATED EQUIPMENT FROM TONY SANCHEZ, LTD, FOR THE ROAD DEPARTMENT, PURSUANT TO N.J.S.A. 40A:11-10

WHEREAS, the County of Passaic (hereafter “County”) is a government body incorporated pursuant to N.J.S.A. 40:18-1, et seq. and vested with all rights contained therein; and
WHEREAS, pursuant to N.J.S.A. 40:20-1 the Board of County Commissioners for the County of Passaic (hereafter “Board”) are vested with decision making powers on behalf of the County; and
WHEREAS, pursuant to N.J.S.A. 40A:11-10, the governing bodies of two or more contracting units may provide by a joint agreement for the provision of the performance of goods and services to be used by their respective jurisdictions; and
WHEREAS, the County is a member of the Educational Services Commission of New Jersey, which awarded a contract for Trucks - Class 4-8, Contract #ESCNJ 23/24-04 to Tony Sanchez, Ltd of Ledgewood, New Jersey, to provide class 4-8 trucks to members of the cooperative; and
WHEREAS, Tony Sanchez, Ltd, of Ledgewood, New Jersey provided a quote for one (1) 2027 Hook Loader and associated equipment to the Supervisor of Roads, in an amount not to exceed one hundred eighty-two thousand nine hundred seventy three dollars ($182,973.00) attached to and made part of this resolution, which is being recommended for approval by the Supervisor of Roads; and
WHEREAS, funds are available in Account No. 6-01-44-900-003-000, or any other account that may be deemed appropriate by the Chief Financial Officer or his designee, and the availability of funds has been contingently certified by the Chief Financial Officer subject to sufficient funds being appropriated by the Board in the 2026 and/or subsequent years’ County budget(s), which is attached to and made part of this Resolution; and
WHEREAS, this matter was discussed at the April 15, 2026, meeting of the Public Works Committee and is being recommended to the Board for approval; and
NOW, THEREFORE, LET IT BE RESOLVED, pursuant to N.J.S.A. 40A:11-10, the Board of County Commissioners of the County of Passaic is authorizing a purchase from Tony Sanchez, Ltd, for one (1) 2027 Hook Loader and associated equipment, in an amount not to exceed one hundred eighty-two thousand nine hundred seventy three dollars ($182,973.00), as recommended by the Supervisor of Roads.
LET IT BE FURTHER RESOLVED, that the Director of the Board of County Commissioners, the Clerk to the Board, County Counsel, and Purchasing Agent are authorized to execute an agreement and take any other steps necessary to carry out the purpose of this resolution.
