RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING AN AWARD OF CONTRACT TO AAA METAL & GLASS, INC., TO REPLACE TWO DOORS AT THE BOARD OF SOCIAL SERVICES OFFICE AT 1237 RINGWOOD AVENUE IN THE BOROUGH OF WANAQUE, PURSUANT TO N.J.S.A. 40A:11-6.1(a)

WHEREAS, the County of Passaic (the “County”) is a government body incorporated pursuant to N.J.S.A. 40:18-1, et seq. and vested with all rights contained therein; and
WHEREAS, pursuant to N.J.S.A. 40:20-1 the Board of County Commissioners for the County of Passaic (the “Board”) are vested with decision making powers on behalf of the County; and
WHEREAS, the County has determined that two doors located at the Passaic County Board of Social Services office located at 1237 Ringwood Avenue in the Borough of Wanaque (the “Wanaque BSS Office”) must be replaced; and
WHEREAS, pursuant to N.J.S.A. 40A:11-6.1(a), the Superintendent of Buildings & Grounds solicited three quotes from local vendors to replace the doors at the Wanaque BSS Office; and
WHEREAS, pursuant to N.J.S.A. 40A:11-6.1(a), the Superintendent of Buildings & Grounds and County Engineer have identified AAA Metal & Glass, Inc., as the vendor most advantageous to the County in performing this role; and
WHEREAS, the Passaic County Engineer is recommending that the Board authorize an award a contract to AAA Metal & Glass, Inc. to replace the doors at the Wanaque BSS Office, in an amount not to exceed seventeen thousand two hundred eighty dollars ($17,280.00) pursuant to the proposal, attached hereto and made part hereof; and
WHEREAS, funds are available in Account No. C-04-55-182-002-903 or any other account that may be deemed appropriate by the Chief Financial Officer or his designee, and the availability of funds has been contingently certified by the Chief Financial Officer subject to sufficient funds being appropriated by the Board in the 2025 and/or subsequent years’ County budget(s), which is attached to and made part of this Resolution; and
WHEREAS, this matter was discussed on February 4, 2025 by the Public Works Committee and is being recommended to the Board for approval; and
NOW, THEREFORE, LET IT BE RESOLVED, pursuant to N.J.S.A. 40A:11-6.1(a), the Board of County Commissioners of the County of Passaic authorizes an award of contract to AAA Metal & Glass, Inc., to replace two doors located at the Passaic County Board of Social Services office located at 1237 Ringwood Avenue in the Borough of Wanaque, in an amount not to exceed seventeen thousand two hundred eighty dollars ($17,280.00).
LET IT BE FURTHER RESOLVED, that the Clerk to the Board, County Counsel, Purchasing Agent, Passaic County Engineer, and the Director of the Board are authorized to take any other steps necessary to carry out the purpose of this resolution.
