RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING AN ADDENDUM TO THE LEASE AGREEMENT BETWEEN THE COUNTY AND GREEN STREET REALTY CORP. FOR PREMISES LOCATED AT 74-102 RAILROAD AVENUE, PURSUANT TO N.J.S.A. 40:20-1.

WHEREAS, the County of Passaic (“County”) is a body politic and corporate pursuant to N.J.S.A. 40:18-1 and vested with all rights contained therein; and
WHEREAS, pursuant to N.J.S.A. 40:20-1, the Board of County Commissioners of the County of Passaic (“Board”) is vested with managing the property, finances, and affairs of the County; and
WHEREAS, on May 24, 2011, the Board adopted Resolution No. R-11-360, authorizing a lease agreement with Green Street Realty Corp. for premises located at 74-102 Railroad Avenue in the City of Paterson, for a fifteen-year term commencing on March 1, 2012 (“Lease”); and
WHEREAS, the parties have negotiated an addendum to the Lease to, among other things, extend the term of the Lease by a period of twenty-four months to February 28, 2029, and add an option for the County to renew and a further extend the term of the Lease by an additional year upon notice to Green Street Realty Corp., with a copy of this Addendum to Lease attached hereto and made a part of this Resolution; and
WHEREAS, this matter was discussed at the July 29, 2026, Administration and Finance Committee meeting, and is being recommended to the Board for approval.
NOW, THEREFORE, LET IT BE RESOLVED, pursuant to N.J.S.A. 40:20-1, the Board of County Commissioners of the County of Passaic authorizes the attached Addendum to Lease with Green Street Realty Corp. for premises located at 74-102 Railroad Avenue in the City of Paterson.
LET IT BE FURTHER RESOLVED, that the Clerk to the Board, County Administrator, County Counsel, and Director of the Board are authorized to take all necessary action to carry out the purpose of this Resolution.
