RESOLUTION APPOINTING COUNTY COMMISSIONERS AS MEMBERS OF THE PASSAIC COUNTY BOARD OF SOCIAL SERVICES FOR CALENDAR YEAR 2025, PURSUANT TO N.J.S.A. 44:1-11

WHEREAS, the County of Passaic (“County”) is a body politic and corporate pursuant to N.J.S.A. 40:18-1 and vested with all rights contained therein; and
WHEREAS, pursuant to N.J.S.A. 40:20-1, the Board of County Commissioners of the County of Passaic (“Board”) is vested with managing the property, finances, and affairs of the County; and
WHEREAS, pursuant to N.J.S.A. 44:1-10, et seq., the Board established the Passaic County Board of Social Services to provide and administer various social service programs for eligible residents in the County; and
WHEREAS, pursuant to N.J.S.A. 44:1-11, the Passaic County Board of Social Services shall be composed of not less than five nor more than seven citizens of the County or municipalities participating, at least two of whom shall be women, to be appointed by the Board, with two designated members of the Board, and the County Adjuster.
NOW, THEREFORE, LET IT BE RESOLVED, pursuant to N.J.S.A. 44:1-11, the Board of County Commissioners of the County of Passaic appoints the following two County Commissioners to serve as members of the Passaic County Board of Social Services for calendar year 2025:
1. County Commissioner Bruce James.
2. County Commissioner Rodney DeVore.
LET IT BE FURTHER RESOLVED, that the Clerk of the Board shall send a certified copy of this Resolution to the Executive Director of the Passaic County Board of Social Services.
LET IT BE FURTHER RESOLVED, that the County Commissioners appointed herein are authorized to take any action necessary to carry out the purpose of this Resolution as members of the Passaic County Board of Social Services for calendar year 2025.
